It was an awesome SMB1 hack.
It involved custom graphics and all I know is that It had spikes which you could step on and get hurt, and the author's/hack's name was somehow related to the character row "XXXX".

Macintosh or Linux.

Sad thing is, you're pretty much on your own as nobody seems to want to make utilities for other OSes =/

Yeah, I've had this in my mind for a while now..
How about changing Mario to Samus, and transforming The Mushroom Kingdom to Planet Zebes?

It would work, I mean..
~Mario would be edited to Samus. A Few graphical and palette changes, and voilá. Also, He'd have the Fire flower power always. Also, the HEX value would be changed so the fireballs would go straight forward.
-Spike tops could be Zoomers. Both Climb walls, and they're the same size.
-Boos would be Mochtroids. A Bit of ASM hacking so they won't be so shy, and follow Mar... I mean, Samus continuously.
-Bullet Bills Would be those flying enemies, forgot their names.
-The SMB3 Pipes could be elevators. By editing them transparent, of course.
-Doors would those "Fireball Blocks", and if they're shot, the way is cleared, and you can continue to the next room. (Remember to Have Side Exit Enabled)
-Some ASM hacking so if Mario presses down, he won't go to the "Duck" pose, but instead, he'll transform to small Mario, who's graphics are changed to Morph Ball! When Small Mario presses "Up", he turns back to Fire Mario. If an enemy hits Fire Mario instead, he'll die instantly. This makes the game harder but more challenging.

Any ideas will be accepted.
And please note that this isn't one of those "I've got an idea make me the hack." -Topics.
Of course, If anyone wants to do the hack, then go nuts. Whatever.

As I said, more ideas will be just fine.

So, I decided to have a little fun with SMW.
I open up HexEdit, and open the SMW Rom with it. A good Rom.
Since I don't know any HEX offsets, I decided to go to the SMW Central.
So I Snag an offset. "Sprite Lakitu throws" Sounds good. I'll pick that one, and change it to something else. Let's see.. It says "0EC32 = 1 byte"

Bam.
Now I'm screwed. What do I do? Is the 0EC32 some offset? Or a HEX address? Or ASCII?
I need some serious help here. And Please explain it step-by-step. Thanks in advance.

There's an input text string, and two radio buttons. "Decimal" and "Hex".
