Why did they have make the line counter only go up to 999?

I mean, when you have over 3000, it gets kind of annoying checking the level (tip: if level > 20, lines = (level - 1) * 10, provided you don't mind if your line count always ends in 0)... at least the levels/music always change, but the fact the points don't increase at all after 20 sucks... you're stuck with the exact same scoring, so if you start at 20 it's basically a patience test to see how long you can play before you get bored and kill yourself to stop it (I finally gave up at level 330, score 10306002)...

Oh well... Marathon isn't as fun as I hoped.

Timers only don't mix with me when I haven't slept in a while (which, lately, is turning into a daily occurance)

Really, most timers work well. It's just that when one of them messes up (not often, amazingly) I have enough time to fix it before it's supposed to go off.

Which is why you should generally make sure that stuff works first, but...
