My only beef with QBasic is that certain operations are mind-bogglingly slow. See also Cycler 1.2 (silly screen-saver type program) and have a tendancy to crash a computer depsite doing nothing amazing.

Beyond that, I wouldn'tm ind the topic starter bringing more than "let's all rant about the language" to the thread, but that's getting off-topic.

Yes, Lunar Magic lets you do it. I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it's done by overwriting the keypresses each frame into the overworld RAM space, hence the useage of a savestate at the end (since all the data would be there)

Of course, now you just have to find out where it puts the data after you've finished "finalizing" it

I could theoretically add one, but it wouldn't be able to determine word count of linked files (ugh) and would count descriptions too, so you'd end up with the same crap anyway. :/
