| 01 - Not bad, I guess... setting up the home page for later assignments, since we haven't technically learned anything yet.
02 - A list using various styles. Heh, I didn't know about some of those. Nifty. 03 - javas 04 - Ok, now we're cooking. Getting table cells to be nice and even and aligned, not to mention a good use of my boring test page... Not hard, but interesting. 05 - More of the same, but wtih pictures and trying to get everything to show up right... eh, not bad, but... 06 - Image maps. Oh well, I can just save this guy's face as "uglymug.jpg" and use it, hehe... nice to know they're always busted in XHTML 1.1 though. < 07 - ...the only redeeming thing in this assignment was watching him try and make a working form. It took him about ten tries. 
(this is where we are, now; everything else is my comments on what we'll have to do) 08 - Nice sample. This is only teaching the most basic thing and is leaving out the most important part: good taste and a sense of style. Arrrhghgh... 09 - Yay! javas *barf* (note: JS can be good, but 99% of the time it's excessive and unneeded) 10 - Awesome, PHP. Maybe people can learn something out of this class. Too bad I already know it... 11 - A 1024x768 background at 20kB? *BARF* ... but wait, FRAMES? ARRRRGH 12 - The only thing different is thumbnails. Still sucky, still makes me want to puke. Also note that you can't use frames if you have javas 13 - Using table cells as buttons (why? Hi, ) and a marquee tag. Urggghhhh... 14 - ...a javas 15 - ...and now required WMA and WMV files. No, AVI and MP3 aren't allowed. 
16 - a Java photo slideshow. It never ends, does it? *pounds head into wall* 17 - and now a DuhHTML photo slideshow. *rips hair out*
Also note that these probably have to work in IE and not "Foxfire" (or any other sensible browser, even IE 7 -- yes, it works, shut up)... every problem is always "Foxfire"'s fault because it works "wrong". But yes, WMV isn't bad. WMA? Yes. I'd rather use a .MP3 from YTMND... ...actually, I think I will. I've been considering this YTMND as a homepage for the end of the semester

| it's a series of tubes.
the level should have 4 directional exits per two screens, seperated by one screen of filler to allow a screen fo rthe "right" screen exit. the data, it's? an unused cycle counter would be nice, we could tell how much more room for expansion we have in some levels. those ice blocks are pretty nice... I'm not sure if I should leave this level as-is. Should I just have it in a nw, n, ne, sw, s, se, or n/s/w/e per room? I wish I could sleep. the internet is tubes I need to set my clock back an hour again. world wide web. I need to work on my level more. I've only got two rooms done, but this should potentially have at least six, mabye ten... ...and I need a gimmick for each. catgirl powerup? need to make a note of all feather powerups in SMO for easy removal... and the debug placed-sprites like Yoshi. SMO artwork? I need a new color scheme. and a layout. I shoud work on my homework. ...and the t-shirt design I'll never use. ?? connections 4:24 ... I hate my headache. My bed needs to be fixed. It can't stay deflated like this forever. Meow! ... I need to move my stuffed turtle to closer to my bed. I talk to myself too much. I should play OpenTTDd to pass the time, but I have more important things to do. | Most of my dreams are forgotten too fast to remember.
I did have a few that I can still remember specific details of to this day (even some, uh, embarassing ones, but still).. None of mine have any meaning that I can readily attribute to anything, though a few of mine could be considered pretty weird (like driving with my father on a freeway, only to end up careening off the end of the road hundreds of feet in the air) or just plain fucked up (watching my "real" self walk out my bedroom door, then watching my dream avatar walking out behind it, following it inthe 3rd person, and then exiting my house onto a giant hilll and turning around to find it's disappeared... there's more weirdness (best memory of a dream yet) but that's all for now) ... I've had a few where I've, say, sat on my father's small brick wall with a board member and conversed about LUE... heh I've only had one lucid dream so far (that ended seconds after I said "Hey, cool, I'm dreaming")... ... Interestingly, I did have an interesting experience today. I seem to have fallen asleep, but I wasn't actually sleeping but I couldn't move at all (nor did I -want- to -- I was just unable to care) ... I don't remember all of it but I just laid there for hours doing nothing, not sleeping but not being awake either. .... Yeah... |
