Let's start with an example from me:

Our room recieves LagunaBroadcastingNetwork (or as I call it, LagNet -- the old SSID, aparrently someone realized how dumb of a name it was). It's free, but doesn't work in the lobby. It also habitually disconnects and requires a re-login with "free" / "free" (which doesn't work half the time), and gets abysmal speeds (average: 600-3000bytes/sec)... The lobby occasinally recieves wifi from the coffee shop across the street. It's fast, works, but the signal is usually low if it works at all... but it's free, too, and doesn't require a login. Capri Laguna (the hotel) has Wi-Fi. It's generally not available in our room, and works near the lobby only. It's $7.95/day. Does anyone else see the total stupidity in charging eight dollars for internet access, ESPECIALLY when LagNet offers a full month of it (that works almost everywhere) for $15? I mean, I've seen dumb, but this...
