Specs here. Unlike some brands, the Gateway restore disc is unencrypted, which meant I could format, install XP Pro, and still get the drivers off it. The screen is crystal clear, making my CRT look like crap. The touchpad works great and the speakers are loud as hell. Even has a built-in flash card reader. Only problem is I keep hitting that %$%^%#^ Caps Lock and it lacks a middle mouse button, but I think I can solve both of those with some hacking.

My HP keyboard habitually drops keystrokes (leading to some amusing things, but nothing as bad as Yoro's blunder in my title)...

I don't even think this came with a recovery disk (you're supposed to make your own, oh boy), either. Ugh...

Oh well, enjoy your new laptop.

(PS: I'm pretty sure the keystrokes are my own fault; I have my hands at a really awkward angle, and it tends to come and go based on how I'm sitting and typing)

Actually, that really was me (my desire to use my backspace key was also very much diminished, I was more in a state of not caring anymore)...

Needless to say almost nine hours of sleep (11:30 - 18:30) most definitely refreshed my system (and to think it was only because my sister woke me up that I even got out of bed) ...

But yeah, caffiene overload on lack of sleep => fE(Gh294gohbbbbx... don't do it! D:

I should've taken a hint when I fell asleep at my computer earlier (and woke up four hours later, with my laptop nearly dead since I unplugged it from the t-storm); I was waiting for that furry bastard Ailure to respond and in the 9 minutes it took him to do so I was long gone

(in other news, I feel like doing things again and not like "belakgehl", whee)

Actually, believe it or not, this is untrue. He speaks about the same when in this condition.

My typing quality is actually (generally) linked to my state of being.

The worse it is, ... well.
