| By hand. I didn't know about that dsmeet tool until I came acrossed it looking for the pallette the emblem editor used so I could copy it into mspaint. I tried making another version with the tool, but it looked like crap. I guess it doesn't really know which pixels are worth saving. | |||

| Actually, I meant about the 150,000 in the attic. But I know he probably didn't actually drink all those pops. By the pictures on top I'd guess they have some specific collectible value. | |||

| Never heard of New Year's fireworks, but I guess I could take any excuse to blow something up.
In Indiana its illegal to set off firecrackers and all fireworks that leave the ground, however it is legal to sell them, you can buy them as long as you agree to take them out of the state. I buy them and take them back up to Michigan, where they're also illegal. |

| Yeah, I've never seen striped caution tape. Normally it has text on it, saying something like: "Caution".
Looks pretty good to me though. Maybe a lighter background. |

| Just a few months ago talk of impeaching Bush was just for the far left. No one took it seriously, and no one thought it would ever happen. In the last few weeks though things have changed (see domestic spying thread). There is now a real push in congress to draft articles of impeachment. And the criticism is no longer just from Democrats, several Republicans have comdemned the president on his authorization of illegal wire taps, lack of support of the antitorture bill, and in some cases his handling of the war in Iraq, and the intelligence leading to it. There seems to be growing frusteration among more "Libertarian Like" Republicans with the amount of power Bush has given himself.
By impeachment I mean like what happened to Clinton, an investigation and a trial by Congress. I don't simply mean kicking Bush out of office. I would be very happy to see an impeachment. Not because I want Bush out of office (he doesn't have that much longer anyway), but because I, like alot of Americans, want answers. We've been at war for 2 and half years now over weapons that never existed. Why? How much did the administration know about the (false) intelligence they made the case for war on? How high up did orders to torture inmates come from? Why does the President feel it's in his authority to warrant domestic wire taps? It seems at this point an impeachment is the only way there will be any real investigation into these issues. To me there was enough evidence in the Downing Street memo to warrant an impeachment, even before the most recent scandal. Now we had the President come right out and admit to an impeachable offense (whether he thinks that's what it was or not). (edited by emcee on 12-30-05 10:42 AM) |

| So how easy is it to get your money back from the free trials? I might do this if I know I won't have to jump through hoops to get my money back. Otherwise it's just a pyramid scheme. By time Koitenshin gets his ipod 216 people will have to do an offer for everyone on the list to get one. (edited by emcee on 12-30-05 09:00 PM) |

| Well, I was in the middle of going through the several hundred forms when you moved yours to pending, so I signed up with your referral. Enjoy your new ipod. Hey just 25 more people need to sign up and I get mine, although I don't know why they would since by the last one will need 150 more people to complete an offer before he get's an ipod. Koitenshin: I think you need to edit your posts, this thread is very hard to read. |

Originally posted by Snow Tomato FISA? That was amended into the USA act, and that eventually into the USA PATRIOT act. But that's the way laws works, the most recent one on the same level (in this case federal) take precedence. A little off topic, but you should try a lighter font color, you have to highlight it to read it. |

Originally posted by Cymoro Right. People seem to forget that Clinton wasn't impeached for having "sexual relations", he was impeached because he committed perjury. However, the Constitution simply lays out what are impeachable offenses ("Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors)", it doesn't say that a president must be impeached if they commit one of these offenses. Obviously each situation is different, and even though lying under oath is a serious offense, there is definitely much worse (and more important) things the chief executive of the federal government and commander-in-chief of the US armed forces could lie about. In other words, lying about a blowjob (and a cigar incident) didn't warrant an impeachment. It was just only thing, among the numerous things being investigated, that there was enough evidence to even consider impeachment, so the Republicans ran with it. I'm not saying there isn't political motivation behind the Democrat's call for impeachment, but sometimes you can be right for the wrong reason. Originally posted by Cymoro As far the wiretaps go, this is exactly the issue, he didn't get the okay from anyone. He was the one giving the okay, even though he obviously doesn't have that authority. And yes, he did get the okay to stay at war, but no one wants to impeach him for simply keeping us at war, the issue is how he got the okay. The CIA processes all kinds of intelligence everyday, whether it be documents, rumors, or the result of interrogations, some of it turns out to be true, some false. That's why its called raw intelligence. Before intelligence is ever presented to a Congress commitee, it has to be confirmed by numerous pieces of intelligence. The Administration picked through the raw intelligence, and pulled out thing that supported its claim and presented it to Congress. That's how he got the okay from Congress, Republicans and Democrats. And guess what, the intelligence was all false, and we're still at war. (edited by emcee on 01-02-06 09:48 PM) |

| I agree with everything geeogree said. Young children need both positive and negitive reinforcement. Not nessicarily to teach them the difference between right and wrong, but so they understand who is the authority figure. Too often I'll be walking through a grocery store and I'll hear some kid literally yelling at their parent to buy them something, while the parent meekly tries to appeased them or explain why they can't get it (even though they normally do anyway). The child actually believes they are the ones in charge. When a child is older you can begin explaining to them the consequences of their actions beyond a spanking (like how it effects others), and you can discuss decisions with them, letting them have input, but they should always understand that your say is final.
Of course, you should never beat you child. You should never hit them with a belt, an extension cord, a branch, a cane, or anything else besides a open hand to the backside. There are only two reason people do that: because they are hitting out of anger, or because the child is getting too old to be hit, and an open hand is no longer effective. Hitting can't be the only form of punishment, and if its all that works after the age of 10, you're doing something wrong. The best behaved child I know is my 4 year old niece. Since she was old enough to do something wrong, she has gotten a smack on the butt for it. I just spent 3 days over there and didn't see her get hit once. Because she wasn't doing anything wrong. She just got a bunch of new toys on Sunday, as part of a late Christmas. She'll pull them out and play with them, and normally put them back when she's done. If she forgets, someone we'll remind her before she can do something else. She doesn't argue, or complain or cry, she just goes and picks it up, because she was told to. This is how all children are supposed behave, if you're walking through the store and your kid is screaming "Mom, get me that Pokemon game now!", you have failed as a parent. |

| Not really my genre, but it sounds pretty good to me. It will definitely benefit from a better recording set-up (I think I heard a dog barking in one of them). |
