Actually I think the same thing watching zombie movies. There's not really that much to be afraid of. I mean, they're slow and stupid. It's was the way with the Child's Play movies. He's the size of a chiuaua, just pick him up and unscrew his head.

Oh, there.

I've never been a big fan of there. I was hoping it was here, that would've been bit more convenient.

By that you mean they're both outlawed in the Constitution?

I've only heard of ex post facto being used to describe law that make act commited before the law was created illegal, but there doesn't seem to anything in the definition that would make it not apply here. But that would be for a court to decide.

I really don't see what difference it makes how many times he was shot. Dead is dead.

I also don't really think this has too much to do with him killing a cop. If you're considered dangerous, and you point a gun at a swat team, you're going to get killed.

There's a near endless amount of reasons why people do bad things, and a very small percent of them have anything to do their religion. And even then religion is often just a convenient excuse, rather then the actual reason (which normally turns out to be just standard xenophobia).

So even if religion was done away with, it wouldn't change anything. People would just find a new excuse.

Is there any legal precedence to that effect?

Either way I'm not that concerned. It just a law, meaning it can be repeal with another law. So if we do end up with Democratic congress in November, then they can essentually unpardon him any time they want.

Also, since I support amnesty for currently illegal immigrants, it would be kind of hypocritical of me to complain about this, since its the same type of thing.

I don't know, it still seems like most Hollywood monsters have some sort of superhuman abilities that makes them dangerous, but not only do zombies not have any special powers, they actually seem less capable then normal humans.

If I was being attacked by zombies, I would walk briskly away from them.

There's got to be more to this. It doesn't make sense.

Even if you were at fault, your insurance should be the one paying. And unless you live in a very backwards state that didn't abolish debtors prison decades ago, you shouldn't go to jail for an unpaid private debt.

There used to be car wash in a town nearby that had its name, "Dirt Busters Car Wash", on a sign board out front. Someone came by and changed it to "Dirty Basterds (sic) Car Wash". And it remained that way for weeks.

Posted on 10-08-06 03:50 AM, in Layout Maker Link
I wrote a little DHTML app for creating layouts. It can't do everything you could by hand-coding, but it can make fairly decent layouts.

Use is pretty self-explanatory. You can use the slidebar to the side and bottom to adjust the outside padding. The slidebars don't work like normal slidebars, you click them once to start moving them and again to lock it (don't drag it). Colors, fonts, borders, and the main background image are chose with dropboxes that expand when you mouseover them. If you choose custom from the color chooser, or double-click on any color (including the current one) it will open the custom color chooser, which works basically like the one in ms paint, but without the fancy multicolored square. All font sizes are in percents and widths and heights are in pixels, except the main right and left padding which is in percents.

You can switch between different aspect of you layout to work on by click the tabs at the top.

Most things you change will update the preview right away, except slidebars require you to lock it in place before you see the changes, and you'll have to change something else for something typed in a text box to take effect.

Once you have it looking how you want, click the output tab and and copy the code into your profile.

Caveats:

1. I've tested it to work on lololol 1.5.0.7, and Internet Explorer 6.0.3790.1830 (kind of works on Opera 9, but not really) on Windows, at 1024x768, with default font sizes. If it doesn't look or act right for you, and you have a different configuration, that might be why. It looks best on lololol.

2. The code it produces should work with any CSS 2 compatible browser, except transparencies on Opera will only show up in version 9 or greater, and if you use images for seperators, in IE they'll show up with a thin gray border around them.

3. The sliders for setting the top and bottom won't line up after you've edited other things in your layout.

4. Keep in mind, that if you leave the page or reload, you'll lose all your work.

5. It probably won't work too well on slower computers.

6. It's full of bugs. I'm sure of it.

Anyway, here it is.

It restarted after a power flicker a few days ago, but before that my MythTv box (running Knoppix Linux) had been running for months. I'm not sure how many though, but atleast three or four.

Well, since you can't really copy their code into the layout maker, you'd have to try to recreate it just by looking at it, which I think counts as clean room development, so no, it wouldn't really be stealing, but you should give credit in your layout anyway.

Anyway, I made a few edits to fix a couple of problems. For one thing if you add an image to the content box, it no longer overlaps the side of any quotes.

Also, I forgot to mention, OPB stands for "originally posted by".

Edit: Ok, apparently it doesn't work in internet explorer, only lololol. - Nevermind, I fixed it in IE.

I never really got this argument. It seems pretty obvious to me that legal marriage, and religious marriage are too seperate things. I see no reason why the government can't recognize the legal marriage of two men or two woman. And I see no reason why a religious organization would have to recognize it, or why they should be concerned if the government does. I'm sure God doesn't care about a piece of paper issued by the government, why should they?

For me, Ive never done it but I know my cousins were told by gateway to leave there computer on all the time. So bassically I'd have to say for them, since they got there computer in uh... 1999... then that means about 7 years... not including power outages which I don't know about.

I really doubt they haven't had to restart after a new install or an update for Windows.
