It just runs through all the songs in DDR Max (all 40+ of them) in a long megamix where one song moves to the next seemlessly. It's a big project, but I think I can do it. Hiryuu was doing the 4th Megamix but he's fallen off the face of the earth for the time being. Once NASA retrieves his butt he's gonna be pissed to see what Im doing

Also,
My DDR Recall

52 AAs, 3 SDGs. Yes, Spel, I know I suck

Nope, I'm a full mod so I can modify the title too. He has no clue what I've been up to. Surprisingly I've been able to hold the sync down fairly well. There will be a few noticable spots that things will be desynced temporarily, but that's cuz I didn't catch it. It's going to be hard to go back through the entire song and test it once it's down (playing one simfile for over an hour?!).

Anywho, the steps are modest. I'll probably rate it an 11 only for sheere length. Not going for an all out challenge and can ya blame me?

R&P Fusion Mix?!?!
...
...
...

At anyrate Mr. Simfile master, I'm already on the Freckles portion of the megamix. But like I said, the steps aren't super creative but I don't think I'll be seeing anyone FCing it anytime soon. There's only 2500+ steps so far. I'd say I'm 1/4th of the way through, working on a song a day, maybe two. What sucks is that the Megamix version of songs almost always have odd BPM...

At any rate, get that R&P Fusion out buddy

Hehe I love DDRecall. I now have 76 AAs and 6 SDGs. I was really shocked as what I AA'd today: End of the Century on DOUBLES. I about fell off my rocker when I did that...

I also can pass Cartoon Heroes on Doubles, not a bad day.

No it's not. That's like saying it's possible to create a universal level editor. There are too many formats and ways to handle the data. No need to bump this thread for wishful thinking. Lockity lock lock

I say make it even better. Give Mario an air-meter and make it that swimming depletes the air, but as a Frog, you can breathe in the water.

The problem with newly themed worlds is that I don't have the graphics space to provide it, so all worlds must share the same themes. However, I will not necessarily keep them in order. World 4 might become the water world. World 2 might become the ice world (differing for each brother too, of course). But the levels and their design are definitely different enough to keep things fresh.

Unlicensed means that the makers did not pay Nintendo a fee to create their work using their development kits and hardware. It's a copyright product, it's legal and it's illegal to download. Unlicnese just basically means it does not come with Nintendo's Seal of Quality on the box.

I have DDR Megamixes 3 through Extreme. I want to get the Solo Bass megamix but I can't find it anywhere, so they're not new to me.

A couple of things to remember while still playing on light:

There are still some hard Light songs that you could work on before moving entirely to Standard, such as La Senorita Virtual Light (7 footers). On light, your first stage is an automatic pass, wehther you fail the song or not, so use this stage to try hard light songs (Max 300 anyone?) Then try a standard song for your last stage, this way you get to try new songs but still get a full game.

Yes, indeed. Dancemania Discogroove Megamix (though not from a DDR game, it does have several tracks that appear on DDR) is also a good one I listen to a lot.

Edit: Do you guys remember that Konami launched a few months back for people to create a song and the winners would have their music appearing in a future release of DDR? Well, the winners have been selected:

http://www.broadjam.com/contests/konami/winner/winners.asp

My personal favorite is Race Against time. It'll be interesting to see what kind of steps will get out of these.

Edit #2: Oh yes, with DDRecall I've now cleared the 100 mark for AA's. 112 to be exact. Average DP%: 95%. Not too shabby considering I was having an off day today (I barely scraped by a lot of my songs today )

You cannot change a level's object set. This is because all levels are grouped together in their common sets. Example: Plains levels are between 0x1E010 to 0X2000F, Dungeon levels are from 0x2A010 to 0x2C00F. You cannot move because each chunk of ROM space has special code that draws special objects for that object set (like the Desert has the necessary code to draw a pyramid, so other level types cannot draw pyrmids).

Bio: do you know about the PPU Buffer for SMB3? ($300~$370ish) That's what you'll need to use to make PPU writes

Well there is a table that dignifies what tile co-ordinates a hammer bros. can land on, so it may never land on that tile you're hoping. I believe beneficii had found this data once before but I'm not entirely sure.

No, you don't want to do it manually. You have to wait for Vblank to occur before you can write to the PPU and that can get really messy. Just remember to load $300, use that as your offset into your PPU Buffer and add the number of bytes you write to the $301-$3whatever buffer to $300 and store it back there, remember the number of bytes written to $3xx, NOT number of bytes about to be written to the PPU

You could always hack the program yourself. I've done that with a few SMB3 utilities people have made, I find the address of the gfx in the program and modify them to match mine.

Well I'm up to 160 AA's now. My latest accomplishments at the arcade that I'm particularly proud of are:

Nori Nori Nori, FC 9 Greats (SDG! )
exotic ethnic, FC 22 greats
Trip Machine Survivor, FC 41 greats
Tsugaru, FC 38 Greats
Paranoia Rebirth, FC 39 Greats

There are many many more but those are the ones I'm most proud of at the moment. I'm starting to run out of plausible songs to AA so I might have to start AA'ing more doubles songs (I've AA'd 6 of them as of now) or maybe improve on my other scores...

Check it out!
