The first color of all the pallets are the same for the NES

[xx][aa][bb][cc][xx][dd][ee][ff][xx][gg][hh][ii][xx][jj][kk][ll]

the first xx gets copied to everyth 4th color in the palette, it's applied to the enemies also.

Yes these are working Birdo's. No you cannot stomp and pick up their eggs. But 5 fireballs will kill them and they are NOT mini-bosses. These babies are regular enemies. BWAHAHAH!

Being the ultimate SMB3 Hacker I'm tempted to make a quick no save-state complete every level run of SMB3 to see what my final score and time would be....

Bemanistyle's OSC5 KB division has been released. I skimmed through it... definitely a KB elitist's file. There's nothing there that I've seen that's better than Hiryuu's Satan's Castle.

Unless other mods disagree, this hack has been worked on too long to let it die. So I'm stickying this so it can get some attention.

You won't get stuck, they're not bosses. They won't leave anything behind, they just die.

The user bars that you people have for SMW Hacker... uhm, they do no thave a single thing in them that represents Super Mario World. All the graphics in this userbar:

are from SMB3 All Stars... Can someone explain the logic behind this?

As for the mat...you spent 20 dollars on it. That should say enough. I spent 75 on two Ignition clones and they're still good but I would rather have a hard pad like a Cobalt Flux (you know, that works unlike DD's)...

I think my pads died due to the control box, which is actually pretty common.

First, you should visit the SMW Hacking Forum

Second, explicit ROM requests are not aloud.

Third, don't bump an old thread, post something completely off topic and about something that's easily answered in another forum.

Posted on 07-31-06 02:02 AM, in Best File Recovery Program Link
This is the deal. My brother did a reinstall of WinXP on my computer and named the computer the same as my old computer's name, so everything that was on the desktop and the old user specific files (like Trillian chat logs) was wiped out. However, I know it's still on my hard drive because a trial recovery program shows sectors with pieces of files I want to recover...

Now, what would be the best file recovery program to get (I don't care if I have to buy it) to have the best chance at getting this stuff back?

Well as much as it pains me to say this, Mario Adventure 2 is being, as of now, put on ice. Unfortunately it was lost due to my brother reinstalling Windows and file recovery programs were unable to retrieve it. My latest back up is just after 4th of July. I don't feel like going back another 3 weeks to recover lost ASM hacking and the like. So I just give up. Unless by some holy miracle Im able to recover a much more recent copy, I'm letting this project go.

The thing is, access to my computer was restricted by a locked door. My brother broke into my room to do this. I never would have foreseen this coming, else I would have kept a weekly back up.

Don't worry, the hack isn't dead for good. I'm not giving up on rom hacking. In fact, I'm going to focus on creating several tools for SMB3 so others can create awesome ASM hacks. First project on my list? SMB3 Sprite Editor.

Hence "as of now on ice" meaning for an undetermined amount of time. Im not giving up on it completely. I'm half thinking about recreating MA2 as either Super Mario World or as a homebrew PC game. Im leaning towards the latter.

I lost well over three years of my own work and creations, including a few projects I was going to be paid to finish.

I know what it feels like.

hHowever, that doesn't stop me from thinking something is not right here; why would someone break into a room to reinstall windows?

Because I had a password set on my computer and the only way my brother could by pass it is reinstall windows. You must realize he is seriously schizophrenic and has spells where he does what random voices in his head tell him to. I'm not joking on this either.

it only recovers the file if it's not over written, unfortunately the clusters that my hack resided on were over written during the reinstall. It would have probably been safe if pre-built computers didn't come with 5 Gigs of crapware with it.

See, when I got this computer, I removed all the crud then I transferred stuff from my old hard drive to this new one, this, taking over the old crapware area of the hard drive.
