My only beef with alcohol is that I highly believe it's best used in a social setting, not as a tool to help you forget your problems. This is the bad side of alcohol that I tend to let wash my view on the whole subject. Anytime I feel stressed out and it's hard to take the problems life deals you, I tend to think I should just have a beer to help relax and settle my nerves because that's what everyone else does, seems like the easy way out.

Plus, my father was an alcoholic and I'm scared of what drinking alcohol might do to me since we have very similiar personalities. I'm 22 and haven't tried it yet, save for a small sip a friend's mom had me try once. I do plan to try it someday but it will be with someone I can trust, like a long term girlfriend or a few friends and it won't be something I can't stand the taste of (I hear there are well tasting alcholic drinks out there..., dunno myself though).

Any suggestions on making a GPU fan on a video card quiet again? I tried cleaning it with just simple pressured air in a can yet it's still nice and rattly.

It seems the fan was just a bit wobbly. I pressed into it myself a little and the wobble stopped, as did the rattling.

Well I recently finished the book and was just appauled at the amount of stuff left out of the movie that was in the book and the changes they made. They could have done a better job, but I guess they're looking to really appeal to all audiences, not just HP book readers.

It's inteded to do that as a limitation for the power. However, if you get a fire flower as Ice Mario, you retain the ice power.

And now. When I'm ever in doubt about copy right laws, I always look to other media! Is it illegal to copy a phrase or a word from a book and put it into your own paper AS LONG AS YOU GIVE CREDIT VIA BIBLIOGRAPHY AND CITATIONS? Of course not! Is it illegal to pick your favorite songs from your CD's and put them in a mix album? Of course not! Is it illegal to take a song, modify it as a remix and distribute it in a club? I don't believe so. So why is it illegal to hack a ROM?

The copyright law ONLY states that the original author has full rights to recreate, publish, distribute and sell his original work. It does not say you cannot mutilate that work for your own personal enjoyment or tell others how you did it. It does not say you cannot take apart the work and annalyze it to death and distribute your findings. ROM Hacking essentially is taking apart a file, analyzing it and distributing your findings. The act of this and the IPS files themselves are not illegal. Only the distribution of commercial ROMs is illegal. It is not illegal to play them on an emulator, it is not illegal to use an emulator. Look at it this way: Bleem for Dreamcast was legal. If you owned a legitimate copy of a PSX game and used the DC as an emulator, that's perfectly a-ok!

Paranoia Survivor: Not many tips are needed for the first 3/4ths of the song. The death run is what makes things so hard. If you have Stepmania, play PS a lot with assist tick on, that's what helped me. As for the death run? Summon all the energy,speed and strenght that you can in those last three steps before the end (left+ right, left, left + right I think) then be sure to cross over like you never crossed over before

I do believe that I might get into PIU. There's not a machine near here but there's a machine at the mall in Harrisonburg Virginia and I visit my girlfriend up there ever so often, so I might actually get a few games up there. Anyone here got PIU Exceed? Is it any good?

My ideal self is how I feel like I really look, until I come across my reflection and I look nothing like what I hope to, this is why I avoid mirrors at all costs, otherwise I can have a decent self-esteem .

I'm doing some work on a game (those who know, butt SSSHHH!!)

Anywho, the scrolling works grand, that is, until the scrolling wraps around in value (from FF to 00) then the upper half of the screen gets awfully screwy and you see scanline glitches in the upper half of the screen. I'm assuming it has something to do with name tables because when the game goes to wrap around a second time, the scrolling fixes just fine.
