| You and I are not going to achieve greatness. As spel werdz rite points out, such a small fraction of all people who live and have lived are presently "famous" that it is very unlikely, mathematically speaking, that we will be remembered on such a large scale.
But live a good life. Help people who need it. Lend a hand to a person who is having problems. Step up for someone who is in peril. Do good deeds. Be a kind person. The people that you helped will remember you, even if "the world" does not. But who cares what the world thinks? Many of its people are not worthy of your name, anyway, right? |

Anyway, yeah, it's not the normal gays that bother people. (And by "people," I mean people who are at all reasonable.) It's the bloated perception that all those outrageous deviances that are paraded through city streets in "gay pride" events and elsewhere are representative of the average, run of the mill homosexual. From what I've seen, people too often equate those uncommon deviances with the greater gay community, which is misguided at best. |

| Every pro-choice justice, abortion doctor, or even ordinary person killed in this hypothetical crusade would be a martyr. And that's essentially the definition of counter-productive.
And, of course, most Christian doctrine I know of does not approve of committing an evil act to prevent another evil act from occurring. The whole "lesser of two evils" thing is frowned upon in Christianity, as far as I know. |
