Suikoden V is by far one of the best console RPG's I've played in a very long time. The character development, storyline, playout of the game ... it all felt similar to both Suikoden I and II, so I really liked it a lot (Suikoden II remains as my favorite RPG when it comes to plot). I know Suikoden III is supposed to have possibly the strongest plot of the series, but its the gameplay that really bored me. I just couldn't stand the battle system, watching the camera switch positions every 5 seconds, and taking for what it seemed like 10 minutes to finish a single battle, so I just decided I'll eventually read the manga instead. But V's battle system, is just like I and II, so its pretty basic, and fun at the same time.

And it had some of the most emotional scenes I've seen in any game, ever.

Sadly, I have yet to beat it though. We moved, and I haven't been able to hook up any of my systems for awhile now (I could, but I'm being lazy and waiting to get a big shelf for for all of them). I did get pretty far into the game, I was around either 40 to 50 hours.

The returning characters were pretty cool and exciting, and seemed just like they were in Suikoden II.

Once I get my systems all hooked up again, I play on getting back into this game and finishing it.

Sadly I don't think I've got Maroon yet. I have the composer though ... (can't remember his name), I liked his battle theme, but it didn't seem like many others did.

there is a manga for this series or some portion of it? any links or do you own copies of it?

i've been meaning to play this series for a while. I started to play 1 and got decently far but my PS1 game save got corrupted and I lost interest in restarting. I just picked up 5 the other day and will probably start playing it soon. so, from the reviews, it seems like I spent my money well.

First thing that comes up at Google.

My friends argue the scenes in the game can bring out more emotion, but I'm sure I'll get just as much out of the manga as I would with the game, in terms of story.

You can find the volumes relatively easy with manga, wherever that may be in your area.

I'm sure it has more to do with the developer rather than the console. Just seems like the PS2 gets most of these Japan exclusives.

Remember Namco X Capcom? =/

I was thinking about ordering it, since it looked great. But then I'd have to buy this, and that, and a bunch of stuff to make imports work.

And yeah, I'm not sure why I bought a PSP. I've had mine for a year, and have yet to buy a game. But I'm pretty hyped about the Valkryie Profile port ... but yeah, fact is ... the DS was a much better buy, and I've enjoyed it way over the PSP.

Sonic 3D Blast - Rusty Ruins Act 1

Honestly, I never thought that game was as bad as most think. And the music was great.

Battletoads, freaking Battletoads.

What happened?

Others:
- Kid Icarus (but I'm pretty sure there's talk of a wii Icarus game in the works)
- Lolo .... somehow, it would be amazing.
- Streets of Rage
- Vectorman with BALLS. The tank Vectorman that cancelled for the PS2 looked untasty.
- GOOD Sonic games.
- Blaster Master

That's all I can think of now.

I saw this movie last night. It was okay, nothing fantastic, but overall a little boring. It did have some great moments though, but overall it was just ... eh.

Click on the other hand, was very good.

S&K is also easily one of my top favorite Sonic games. And its even pretty good with Sonic 3. (Sonic 3 alone though, meh).

But I'd still have to say Sonic CD has, and probably will always be my favorite Sonic game. It was just so simple, as simple as the original, with amazing music (both US and Japanese soundtracks), and some the levels were really different and unique (Wacky Workbench?).

I honestly haven't enjoyed any of the Sonic games since the Genesis era. I thought the first Adventure was decent, but after that it just went completely down hill if you ask me.

And now they keep on introducing stupid characters like Shadow, and give them their own games. Sonic with guns, awesome ...

$70 may seem outrageous, but truth of the matter is some SNES and N64 games hit that price back in the day. Being a cartridge was probably a large reason as to why, but yeah.

I'm not really in to the whole console war thing. Why? I'll end up getting them all eventually, because each system is going to have their ups and downs and exclusives, just like the Xbox, GC, and PS2. I already have my 360 and anticipate games like Prey, Gears of War, Halo 3 ... etc.

Price wise though, yes I will probably find myself buying a Wii first because of how cheap it'll be. I just hope Nintendo doesn't get crazy with add-on's to the controller or whatever, kind of like what they did with the GC + GBA link idea.

That, and I do think Nintendo could be making quite a comeback with the Wii here. I really believe they will, after the slight damage the N64 and GC may have done (although I don't really think that, but they've always been considered to be the lesser systems these days, if that makes sense? Can't really think of a way to explain what I'm trying to say here. )

Reading the previous posts in this thread though, getting Japan exclusives would be absolutely amazing. From Rondo of Blood, to maybe even Seiken Densetsu, that would be great for us gamers outside of Japan. So yeah, the whole classic gaming catelogue idea really has me excited for the Wii. That and Brawl.

McDonalds has good breakfast, but that's it. After that I'll always take BK over McDonalds.

But in a fight? This'll explain it.

Now this one just hurts ... I KNOW I've heard it, just can't think of exactly what it could be.

Since there's been a Sonic trend here, I'm in the belief its:
