Its been confirmed in the past it won't be anything like that.

That'd just be, so dumb beyond imaginable.

Super Turrican.

I remembered playing this game back when I first got my SNES. Several years ago when I started up on emulation and stuff I was out there trying to find it. The only thing that stuck to my mind, was the box cover (couldn't think of the name though), like 1 level or so, and the music. Other than that I couldn't remember anything.

Thanksfully though, my dad somehow remembered what it was called. He doesn't even play videogames, and somehow he remembered its name.

Out of this World was another game that my dad, somehow remembered that I couldn't.

Very weird.

Wow, this is awesome stuff Ziff. I really don't have much to say, but it really alludes interest myself, and this is something that I could definitely have fun with.

I took Game Design for two years at High School, and really enjoyed it. But, once I got back into that class for College this Semester, I think I finally decided that's not really for me. I just don't have the certain drawing skills, and patience for animation and things like that. This is somewhat besides the point I guess, however I've always taken a lot of games pretty seriously and have looked at them pretty deeply.

If there were courses for this out there, I wouldn't even hesitate to sign up. Seriously. Like Ziff's said, there's other studies and courses out there on different subjects that have been around for awhile, but now we're in a new age with videogames, and there's definitely room for this study if you ask me.

There's a few games that can really capture my mind at times. An older one, would be Super Metroid. The detail, level design, atmosphere, music, and just everything about that game has always hit me as "insane". Its unbelievable how incredibly cool that world of Zebes is, and I just feel like I'm there when I'm playing it.

I remember in Halo, on the second level I once spent maybe an hour or so just ... walking around. Looking at the environemtns, the rocks and the waterfall (at the beginning), staring at the Halo's other side above me, and I was captured in its world.

I guess that's all besides the point too. But hey: 1) I take my games seriously too, 2) This is pretty interesting to discuss.

Gaming Humanities.

This was posted on another board I visit often. Many of you probably know the remixer "virt" who's done a lot on ocremix and whatnot, well he's made a full album of 8bit chiptunes called FX3.

Album here, and their main site.

Fans of old school Nintendo themes and whatnot, definitely check this stuff out. Its pretty ... groovy.

But personally, I never seen the big thing about this gameshow, other than ZOMG SUSPENSE !!! Problem is they over-do it so much, They stretch 10-15 minutes into an hour, over-dramatizing everything, and it really just makes me sick. I guess you might consider it cool if your local newscaster is on a television show, but I don't think I'd be too thrilled if someone I didn't know personally was going to be on a TV show.

I dunno.

The chicks are nice.

Other than that ... I usually get a glimpse of the show just because its on before my friends and I watch Heroes. So, yeah.

Yeah.

I don't have the source on me at the moment, but yesterday I read somewhere 58% of retailers (maybe just in the States) have PS3's in stock. At such an early time like now, two months after its release ... I'd say that's not very good at all. Wii's are a completely different story, very hard to find, and I'm sure everyone can remember how hard it was to get a 360 for the first handful of months it was out.

Sony, really needs to do something here.

I think I'll move this to Gaming?

Also, did you play the sequel? I have no idea what kind of game you could call the first one (a puzzle game?), but the sequel was kind of a typical sidescrolling adventure game, only on crack. "Hyper funk zone!", then you could rap with friends and beats and stuff for funk points. And you threw presents on kids and stuff.

I love both of those games. Though, I'd have to say the second one is even more "funked" up. I truly think the developers were on something when they made those games. Regardless, they're Genesis classics.
