I thought they were both pretty lame actually. A few minutes of fun there, nothing more.

Single player wise, I just prefer PoR because it was somewhat more challenging (bosses weren't pathetic like in a lot of Castlevania's), and it was a few hours longer. And the two-characters thing worked out pretty well.

I will say I liked DoS's soundtrack a lot more though. In the end, anyone with a DS should already own both.

- Entertainment/Sports: Split back into Entertainment(/Movies/TV/Anime) and Sports
Maybe its me, but that forums slow enough as it is. This'll just take up more space I'd say ... best off if this were left the same, in my opinion.

- Move Entertainment, Sports, Gaming, Emulation, and Tournaments under one category
Cool

- Add Writing*, move SimBattle, Story Forum, and Modern Art to the same category
Cool

? Move Femine, Officers, Debate to their own category (as well as mabye some other forum I forgot)
Cool

? Move Craziness, Brain Teasers, etc to the same category as General
Yeah

? Add two seperate forum layotus: ROM-Hacking on top, ROM-Hacking on bottom (to switch between "ROM Hacking oriented" and "Non-ROM Hacking", to get the forums out of the way for everyone else and vice-versa)
Meh, I've been fine with the breaking categories down option and stuff.

I've never really liked original MD actually, but Code Red is pretty good.

... However, Livewire is AMAZING.

Hmm, here's what I've seen ...

- Sonic Adventure -- This game was okay and really "cool "at the time of its release (when we drooled over the Dreamcast), but it still failed in comparison to previous Sonic games.
- Sonic Adventure 2 -- I hated it.
- Sonic Advance games -- Couldn't bare to get into them at all.
- Sonic DS -- I hated it.
- Sonic Genesis from what I've heard all over the forum here, I'm never going to play this. Ever.
- Sonic Heroes - Didn't care to play it.
- New Sonic - Its the Adventure games, all over! Yay! .............

Not to mention ...

Yeah, surprised me nobody mentioned that piece of rotten garbage yet. There's a secondary character that didn't deserve his own game, at all.

Although I can agree that the Sonic game for the Wii looks pretty awesome, following the pattern here ... its already sitting on thin ice for me. If its terrible, I won't be surprised or disappointed at all. But, it'll be cool if its actually good.

But yeah, Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3 + Knuckles, and CD, were absolutely amazing.

I'm with Thex here on the split forum layout ... I really don't like it.

Ever considered maybe implementing sub-forums? I myself usually don't like sub-forums, but there's some board systems out there that get it done pretty well. myBB is a good example.

I'd be useful for things like the gaming Tournaments forum (is that forum really needed?). Instead of a whole space for a forum, description and all that, a link to that forum could just sit under the main gaming forum, and it'd probably look nicer. I'm sure other forums could be moved around here and there too. Sub-forums could probably be really useful for Rom Hacking and whatnot too.

I also noticed that the enemy AI in this game doesn't seem to be very sharp. e.g. the fake clones at the bottom of the Nest of Evil have lots of HP but are extremely easy. I had a harder time with the Golden Skeleton room.

Yeah.

How often was that "double push" skill used? Once, I think? Etc. They could've done a lot more. And yeah, I found myself solo'ing most of the boss fights because the other character would pretty much just stand on the boss, diminishing my MP.

SotN is still the BEST CV game ever and might even be in my top 10/20 of all time, and I REALLY like the GBA ones (well, not so much Harmony, but still), so... yeah.

Agreed to some point. What would be amazing is if Konami decided to "patch" the game up a bit before putting it up on Xbox Live Arcade. As incredible as SoTN was, I'm sure everyone can agree the gameplay was drastically broken at times. The normal castle was a joke, then even after that the game didn't get that much harder at all, you just had to "try". There just really wasn't a lot of challenge in it. Then again I can look at most of the Metroid games and say the same, even though I love those games to death also.

Its still probably my favorite Castlevania though regardless, because of the atmosphere, hilariously awesome dialogue, incredible music, and whatnot.

And the GBA ones definitely rocked. CoTM was pretty overlooked if you ask me. It felt a little different, but its a classic in my book. Harmony ... I really tried to like that game, but I couldn't get into a slow-mo Castlevania. And then Aria of Sorrow, I'd actually say I liked it a bit more than Dawn.

And of course the original Castlevania's, along with Super, Bloodlines, and Rondo of Blood, all rocked face.
