Yeah.

Really, I might just get one of these and just play the US translated rom again, among with other games.

Some of you might be thinking "What's the big deal with playing it on the computer?" Well, I still don't have a computer of my own, so this is the family's, and it's in the living room whereas my room is basically the entire basement, and area where I enjoy my games a lot more. So, being able to play games on a TV, alone, an whatnot gives me a better experience.

You can get 1.A2 here.

However, production and for the majority, use of the A series has stopped.

A lot of the exploits are due in fact to some moron thinking it was a bright idea to do "require "$root/", on a lot of the files in the "lib" directory. Also, the lib directory should have permissions set so you can't run the scripts by themselves, that was also the reason that Acmlm board is so unstable. Another problem I see with Acmlm board is poor organization, many of files have code in them that should be somewhere else, like in functions.php, but I found even functions.php is polluted with crap that shouldn’t be there. So you can blame poor coding habits, lack of standards, failure to learn about common PHP exploit techniques and multiple authors for the lax security present in Acmlm board.

Yeah, well as far as I know, 1.92 doesn't use the $root idea at all. (It was a pain setting up 1.A3 with getting $root to work correctly).

The A series was extremely cluttered (I've used both 1.A2 and 1.A3, 2 wasn't bad but 3 was a horrible uncompleted mess with almost worthless files everywhere).

But I mean, really what can you guys expect? Like others have said, the AB codebase is just made up of multiple people, whom probably worked on it alone when they did. The only time there was an actual "team" was when it was first made, but still Acmlm himself did the majority of the coding. But until we see an official, team of more than just a handful of coders, I think that AB's will continue to be a huge mess.

In all honesty if my AcmlmBoard wasn't nearly as large as it is, I probably would have switched over to something long ago. I really love the "look" of AB's, but when you see the code, and see people pulling out exploits left and right, you get sick of it. And having no time at all to learn PHP myself, and not being able to patch stuff up by myself doesn't help at all. I'm thankful to have dedicated frends out there who have patched up my board numerous times, especially DarkSlaya.

I always liked 2x2 Shinobuden.
(I doupt that spelling is correct).

It's a Ninja inspired comedy, that reminds me a lot of ExcelSaga, but better.

I also don't know who translated it, but if it was Nintendo, they aren't living up to their usual standards... some stuff just sounds odd.

But it's a good port. Enough extra bells and whistles added, and I've gotten farther in this than I have in the SNES version so that's proof enough I'm into it.

Now that I think about it that does make sense. The new graphics do look a lot like the first Tales of Destiny on the PSX (definitely not ToD II though).

I'll probably just wait for more reviews on this before I pick it up. Right now I'm pretty obsessed with the Minish Cap anyways, to hold me over.

I dont want to play it as much as I just want the name of it.
Been bugging me for months.

System: NES
Cart Sticker: I think that it was a blonde guy in grey armor with a weapon of some type.
Genre: Platformer
Desc:
You took control of the guy on the sticker and all I really remember is going around and killing stuff as well as collecting orbs.
I think the background was mainly a castle type setting.

Sorry its so vague but I was younger than 7 the last time I saw/played it.

Sounds like Super Ghouls and Ghosts ... but I don't think it is because of the orb part.

You do get "orbs" after beating bosses in Super Castlevania IV though.

Try those ... I guess.

Who worked on that one? Vagla I'd guess.

I remember it, it was probably one of the most heavily modified AB's out there besides RPG Revelation (years ago).

I could try to find Acmlm+Erk. It was an unofficial package myself, and a few others used years ago. A lot of it's functions and stuff were later in 1.9, but there's also a bunch of other extras, and a bunch of uncompleted code and ideas (like 1.A3).

Xeon, ever think about patching these up yourself, or making things for AB's?

I remember hearing about your numerous exploit findings in the past when I was on staff.

Well I've been thinking about doing a complete 1.A3 rewrite, but I want to get a copy of the 1.B copies before they got scrapped, the ones with commons and new skin system. ||bass said he lost them when his partition table on his harddrive became corrupt (very serious problem!). Anyone have the 1.B1 or whatever copies before they got scrapped?

I think I recall Randy getting that package.

I would imagine he'd have to get ||bass's permission to give that one away, but then again I don't think ||bass really cares about the development of the board anymore.

Hexadecimal was the female villian, right? I kind of stopped watching it after she basically took the place of Megabyte, it just didn't seem as good.

But yeah, I loved this show back in the day. The idea of it, going into games and everything, just made me think of Johny Quest.

But yeah, not much else to say other than I watched this show quite a lot. Still, it wasn't as good as Beast Wars.

It's a shame how horrible Metal Machines turned out to be.
(wasn't that the direct sequel to Beast Wars?)

It was just ... horrible. And I remember there only being like, 10 transformers total. Not a whole lot there. It didn't seem to air very long either.

And for those who loved it, Youtube.com actually has a ton of Beast Wars episodes.

Hmm, well I definitely better look out for some copies of these now. They'll probably be worth something later on.

This does suck, but like others said at least we got a few games of the series.

I wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing some kind of ripoff in the future though.

It's been awhile since I've really gotten into an anime recently, but I think I may have a new favorite. My friend showed me the first 5 episodes of this series yesterday, and I was absolutely blown away.

Plot Summary: Kenzou Tenma, a Japanese brain surgeon in Germany, had it all: incredible skill at his work, a rich and beautiful fiancee, and a promising career at his hospital. However, after becoming disenchanted by hospital politics, he chose to save the life of a young boy who got shot in the head over the life of the mayor. As a result he lost the support of the hospital director, as well as his position in the hospital and his fiance. A short time later, the hospital director and the doctors that replaced him were murdered, and once again he was catapulted back onto the top. But as the chief suspect of the murders, Tenma did not get a easy life. As a matter of fact, it seems that the boy he saved was much more than he had appeared to be... Now to clear his name and to correct his past mistake, Tenma must get to the bottom of these and other murders, and investigate the truth of the Monster who is behind all of this.

(And look at the votes, 122 to 1)

It definitely has tons of plot twists that kept it really interesting, and it just seemed very intense at times. You'll really get to know Tenma, and feel pretty sorry for him at times. I guessed a few of the plot twists, and who characters were, but the plot still seemed to go in perfectly together.

It's 70+ episodes, and my friend said it -never- slows down or gets boring. He says if it weren't for his obsessive love for Maison Ikkoku, it would be his all time favorite anime.

Definintely check this one out.

Just thought I'd ask. Has Rhapsody (the Power Metal band) released any of their CD's internationally?

So far I've had no luck finding anything, on Amazon, or anywhere. So from the looks of it I'll be importing their albums ... meh, it's worth it though.

Alaster MUST think Maddox is awesome or apparently he's wrong. That's what I got out of this thread.

Anyways, Myspace can be art, sure if you can code the page from scratch or whatever, and create your own design. But until then, no. And every single Myspace I've seen so far is impossible to look at.

It's Xanga 2.0.

edit: and from what people have shown me at school, every single Myspace user looks the same.
