I just want the Screensavors back.

I'd continue to argue, but I also don't really care.

(Not like I watch much TV these days anyways).

Nope.

Why? He's a GM for Darkmoon RO, and I'm more than sure Thex / him and other GM's may make that day a boosted rate day or do something special.

My theory? I'll see Acmlm actively playing on dmRO on his birthday and he won't post here.

I'll bet spacebucks, a million.

Although I haven't watched this (I'm interested though) yet, I just have to say I'm in the same boat as FreeDOS here in terms of how I enjoy both TAS's and normal speedruns.

Either way, I think its interesting to watch a game I've played before beaten so quickly, tricks revealed, and whatnot. TAS'd or not.

Some of pure humanly ones I've always enjoyed are the Super Metroid runs, probably because I've gotten good at running through that game myself (I think my best run clocked in at 50 minutes, with the game time shown at the end. After doing it I just found it quite hard to believe how the smallest things could result in a 43~ speedrun).

I'll definitely check this video out tonight though.

What do you mean now though? Is it still on ... somewhere?

Even though Screensavors ultimately became Attack of the Show ... I really don't see them as the same show, at all.

Attack of the Show really sucked when it first officially started up. It was really like "Let's show viewers funny stuff we found on the internet". Its gotten better now, but its still a half-assed show if you ask me.

I only watched some of it (started at 1:30 AM last night ... so, got kind of tired) but it did seem pretty cool. The commentary was decent at times, but it was weird that they picked someone who hardly knew anything at all about the game. I think wite's idea of commentary would be more interesting, for most of it.

I honestly can't imagine just how much free time this guy had to perfect some of that. Walking backwards, very often ... and knowing exactly where he was going, when to backflip, etc. Jeeze.

But I'd have to disagree with all the OoT hate. I can surely agree with everyone that would argue its basically another telling of LttP, but I still loved it. Probably just nostalgia, but overall I thought it was a great game.

(And I loved Majora's Mask too!!! Uh oh. And, I hated Wind Waker. Oh, and Zelda 2 fucking rocked).

I concur. They're just pixels. Very sexy pixels to some, but to others...no. Just. No. And there is a disturbing lack of pics in this topic. Add that into the very limited selection of game girls here and you have one crappy poll.

So, within this past week or so I've been randomly getting disconnected from the internet. Thing is, our other computer is totally fine, and has not been effected by this.

Today, it happened so many times ... I was kicked out of RO, maybe 6-7 times total today, AIM closed out, couldn't browse, etc. My internet just dies. It keeps timing out.

So I reset our router, and it continued. Occassionaly I'd get a Gateway Alert Notification page and it noted:
Can’t Contact Internet Service Provider
The system could not contact your Internet service provider to create an Internet connection.

This can occur due to emergency network maintenance or other unforeseen temporary service disruptions. The BROADBAND LINK light on the front of the system will automatically turn green once the problem has been resolved, typically within a short period.

If this condition persists, you can also try restarting your system by clicking the REBOOT SYSTEM button below.

Finally after awhile, I hit the reboot button, and our net was down for about an hour and a half. I get back on and continue browsing, and then try to get back into RO ... well, it died again. After awhile, I got another Gateway Alert Notification page, only this time it read:

However, it continues. This is just extremely annoying. I'm guessing I should just go ahead and contact my ISP about this.

I am on a WiFi connection, but we've had this setup for months and its worked fine. And I haven't downloaded really anything that would mess with it. But I'm doing some scans with Adaware, Defragged, etc and I'll probably look out for Drivers for my WiFi card if they're available.

Also here's a logfile from Hijack this, if anyone could maybe point out somethings that should not be running or whatnot, that'll probably help.

Would it differ from our other computer though? I guess I could see that, since I'm on a wifi connection (laptop) while the other computer is still directly connected, but I don't know ...

I guess that could be the case, but its really been about a week now. I just got done scanning a ton of stuff in safe mode, updated a bunch of drivers, and its still happening. So, it probably is just a slow time for our ISP or something.

Yeah, it really doesn't seem very believable.

Then again if he took it that serious maybe he planned to show people of that forum to try and make them feel bad?

Thing is I've been playing RO for the last 2-3 months or so. Maybe its just built up? But as I mentioned before, I have reset my router and then even had it "reboot" through the Gateway Alert page I got.

But, I can say the chances of my net timing out seems to be much higher when I play RO. I tried playing maybe 10+ times today, and couldn't get past maybe 5 or so minutes until my net disconnected.

I completely forgot about this game. I remember playing it with my Aunt's Super Gameboy back in the day. It was definitely impressive, I'll have to look out for this and a Super Gameboy for myself. Definitely one of the best Gameboy games out there.

And yeah, its probably better than MvDK.
