Whenever someone says "I'm a Barbie Girl" I get that damn absolutely shit-horrible song stuck in my head for a long time. The title of this thread made me think of it.

I hate it, so much.

Anyways, I can't think of anything else ... since I'm always listening to different music when I'm at home, nothing really has time to play through my head.

PS: One Winged Angel was alright ... I honestly thought Bizarro Sephiroth's theme was cooler, but I'm probably the only person in the world who thought that.

Any other sources?

I'm sorry, but ever since this silly incident I have not been able to take joystiq very seriously.

I don't know what it is about the PSP, I just ... don't care for it. I even bought the $300 "1 Gig Dou Stick" package. Quite a regret of mine ...

Even after buying Valkyrie Profile Lenneth, I still find myself hardly playing that. I should just look around eBay for a PSX copy and get that. Lenneth was pretty much the only reason why I've kept my PSP this long. And now I've realized I'd rather play an RPG like that on a real TV.

I also have the Gradius collection, which is amazing, but both the d-pad and joystick don't feel right at all for those games.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops is the only other PSP game that looks somewhat promising. But since I don't touch my PSP, I should probably just sell it.

I'll move this to Gaming.

Anyways, this thread has inspired me to order a copy of Duke Nukem 3D. Its been too long since I've played it, and I've only played the PSX version (I've heard its not as great as the PC counterpart).

It was just awesome. Come get some.

Too bad the future Duke Nukem's were 3rd person, I just didn't like them nearly as much as 3D.

It's more of a cult classic. Half-Life is to Final Fantasy as Deus Ex is to Phantasy Star or Star Ocean or something.
Heh, Deus Ex is hardly a cult classic. And neither is Half-Life. It's just that nobody here really plays PC games, it seems .

In any case, my vote is Ocarina of Time. My favorite console game ever, bar none. But I lean more to the PC myself, so it probably isn't my favorite game (as opposed to console game).

Waadh .... aat?

Well, at least 4 people in the world played Deus Ex.

I voted for Link to the Past. But I'm already seeing a huge landslide here.

What are you trying to say?

Well I wasn't trying to make it sound like I was responding to your comment, more at ||bass's. It just doesn't surprise me he "hasn't even heard of it". It was definitely a sleeper hit, and that's a shame. =\

And it was great seeing him in his prime in MGS3. He was definitely the comic relief, but you could see how Big Boss and other things eventually helped him become who he had become.

Speaking of MGS, I really liked Liquid also. He was kind of like that long blonde haired villian in Die Hard that just wouldn't die.

The whole Liquid Ocelot thing though ... eh?

Super Mario Bros 3 Challenge.

Meh. Couldn't really think of anything. But that's definitely a great old school hack there.

@Ogre: So Star Ocean 1 is really that good? I have a working rom, I should try it out sometime ...

Hmm, there's another to add to the list of incredible RPG's that never made it to the states.

I like Xk's idea with just having two of the final games up for a poll. Probably Super Metroid and OoT.

And who knows, like most polls people might go "Oh guess I'll change my mind" and pick a different choice?

Oh, ok, understood .

And you're right, sales of the game were disappointing, which is a shame because its quality as a game was confirmed when it won Game of the Year from...Computer Gaming World? I think that's who it was.

Yeah, it was definitely highly acclaimed. The media seemed to praise it, but the people didn't. Pulled this from wiki:
