Alright, I've ranted on about this for quite sometime now at my forums, but now I'm clueless ...

Basically here's what has happened:
- Bought a Targus optical wireless mouse. Installed, worked perfectly.
- Went through 16 AAA batteries for it in less than a month.
- Decided to buy a new mouse.
- Bought a basic Dynex wired optical mouse.
- Installed the drivers, the hardware and everything, got the mouse working. And its horrible. It does not calibrate correctly or something. Randomly the cursor will go all over the place, like its lagging, or just completely out of control. I've restarted the computer countless times, messed with Mouse properties, uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them, unplugged and plugged the USB plug back in, etc etc etc ...

So I got totally fed up, went downstairs and took the MS mouse we have for our family computer, which I didn't know was USB also. Plugged it into my laptop, and it does the exact same thing. It just does not calibrate correctly or something.

I put back in my wireless Targus mouse, wiith some random batteries and it randomly works for a few minutes. Thing is, -when- that mouse works its perfectly fine, unlike the wired ones I tried.

So seriously, anyone know what in the world is going on?

I use my laptop like a desktop basically, and I just hate being forced to use the touchpad and touch-stick thing in the middle of the keyboard. And no scrollbar hurts.

Ah, don't even remind me about Advent Children.

If the plot and characters in FFVII weren't bad enough, it just totally melted them into shit. No doupt it had incredible animation, but that's it. You could probably put the movie on mute and enjoy it more than trying to follow the storyline.

wite: Is that entirely accurate? I know Enix gained the higher power, but I'm pretty sure both Enix and Square still have the majority of their own freedom over their seperate developed titles.

Anyways, simply put I think the majority of us can say the Final Fantasy games are simple. Not all of them are fantastic, but they're good games. But there are easily dozens of other RPG series out there that I'd say are far superior.

- Mana games. Even though I don't think any of them have been nearly as good since SoM an SD3, I still enjoy this series a lot.
- I'm sure the majority of us would love to see another Chrono game.
- Most of the Suikoden games put not just Final Fantasy, but most RPG's to shame when it comes to charcter development.
- Breath of Fire IV is Legendary.
- Vagrant Story was incredible and totally innovative and original.
- etcness.

But that's all entirely my opinion.

Anyways, have you guys actually seen the Final Fantasy XIII trailer? It may as well be titled The Matrix Fantasy. Honestly, looked like a Xenosaga spin-off with a blend of Final Fantasy VIII in it or something. Eh, I don't know. Ever since FFX I've really lost interest in the newer FF's. I have hopes for FFXII, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see on that one.

Part time I guess. Since summer I've been getting anywhere from 20-40 hours a week.

I work at Jiffy Lube, doing most of the basics ...
- Courtesy Tech. This is what I mainly do, talk to customers, get their information if needed about their vehicle and the type of oil they're using, etc. Then vaccuum the inside, check tire pressure, wash outside of the windows, and make sure they get a sticker put inside to tell them when their next oil change is due, because its apparently very hard to remember every 3 months to 3000 miles is recommended.
- I can also work basics on hoods. Put oil in, top off other fluids, change out air filters, and maybe do some radiator flushes here and there. PCV valves also, and that's about it.
- Lower bay ... I can drain some transmissions that have plugs on the bottom, maybe do a drain and fill differential, and then the basic drain oil and change out the oil filter.

I've been there for a year now, and have gotten 2 raises so far (both 50 cents).

There's only 10 or so employee's there, and only 2 managers at the moment. There's been some hectic Saturday's where my manager will be a complete jackass about things, and I've come -very- close to just tossing whatever could be in my hands to the ground and saying "Fuck you, I'm out".

I mean I love the guys at my work. We're all like a family, but I put up with quite a bit of shit sometimes, and someday I could just snap and say screw it.

I also really hate being in the position I am, the position in where I'm usually the first one to talk to -every- single customer that comes in the shop. People can be so retarded at times, it just pisses me off. I especially cannot stand it when people just come for no apparently reason, automatically pissed off. So they're instantly throwing an attitude at you, and that just puts me on edge. It also doesn't help that we're one of the most active stores in the Region, where a day where we may do 70+ cars is nothing special (that's pretty much cars pulling up nonstop throughout the entire day. Boy do I love when this happens when I'm trying to eat some food). I also wish some people understood I'm just simply doing what I need to do, if someone comes in and asks for the special and we're not running it, I could really careless if they come and say "Well I'll just go there instead then, bye". Okay, bye? Remind me when I'm supposed to care.

I'm happy with my pay honestly, but I have a friend of mine who works at Lowe's and does nothing but register, and is making 2.75 more than I am. I put up with so much crap sometimes, and now that I'm 18 I have more opportunities out there, I'm just not sure if I'm going to keep this job after this summer.

I could go on and on and on with details and everything, but I'm sure nobody really cares.

Added benefit: Employee's can pull in their own cars and do basically whatever they want, and perform any services for free. So far for my car I've replaced the fuel filter, done emissions, changed the oil twice, replaced the PCV valve, and make sure my other fluids and everything are updated. But really, they shouldn't be free for us. =O

Mehklesdoie.

I didn't really post that video to try and prove that point, just thought it was a good song to share.

And yeah, I've seen some videos of Malmsteen dancing. (basically)

@wite and Grey: Yeah, another Final Fantasy Tactics would be great. I will guess we can all agree Advance just did not make the cut?

Also, Grey ... you should really play VI. Really.

And I do like IV quite a bit myself. A basic and typical storyline and characters, and sometimes cheesy, but for its time it was pretty good.

Simply put the Internet is a free medium that should not be overcontrolled by some form of government / organization whatsoever.

It just shouldn't happen.

I'm not sure what the phenomenon is about this series ... but its there.

I saw it at the 12:01 showing here at AMC 30. They had 7 or so theaters showing it at that time, several of them were already sold out when my friends and I got there a little after 10:00 PM.

I wasn't totally hyped and anticipated about this coming out or anything, but I just figured why not? I had nothing better to do, could sleep in the next day, so I just went ahead and saw it.

I thought it was pretty enjoyable, but I honestly would have to say I enjoyed Superman Returns a lot more (in terms of good summer movies this year). And its been too long since I've seen the first one to compare them. But yeah, good movie, just nothing incredible in my opinion.

I'm not sure what I dislike more, Spirits Within or Advent Children. =\

I liked how Tseng randomly appeared in Advent Children. Or was that him? Whichever Turk died in the game I guess.

I didn't mind the mill fight or anything, but I did kind of approach this movie with more of a comedic view, so yeah.

But yeah, I can see what you mean about the story. It just felt like, there just wasn't a whole lot to it or something.

I seriously think people were high or something when these games were made. Funk Points? "Oh yeahhhh". Bust out a boom box to do some dancing for ... more Funk Points?

But yeah, these games were Genesis classics if you ask me. I liked both the first and second ones, even though they were quite different from each other.

I never played the newest one on Xbox however. But looking at how Earthworm Jim 3D turned out, and other games here and there, I wouldn't be surprised if it were horrible.

And how much time elapsed between the two movies? I wish I could become a badass within a few months like Elizabeth did =P

But I still enjoyed the movie quite a bit.

Yeah.
Spoiler:
I thought it was funny when those two theives pulled out their swords on her when she was attempting to get the chest, and she acted like she was scared to death. Then Davey Jones's crew came and she took their two swords, and started killing undead like a professional killer. A little odd?

In the year 32 BC, Saint Peter tradionally became the first pope.

I believe I have won this war.
