Your "post" is a crime against the English language, and it's also sacrilege. Please improve your coherence by a good deal, if you would be so kind. People will tend to listen more if you do so.

As for:

And for the questions, ask "Is 1+1=2?" Then, ask "Is the answer to my next question "yes"?" For your last question ask "Was the answer to my last question "yes"?"

My brain hurts, don't do that!

Just replace ever instance of heavier with heavier/lighter, and it still works out correctly.

I remember I used to have that sort of problem in my old house: don't take a shower while someone is doing the wash.

"By thinking of things you could understand them," James Joyce once wrote. The SAT tests on what one knows, but does not test mastery, it does not test the extent that a student understands a mathematical concept, nor does it demonstrate if a student can analyze a work of literature. The test should be just that, thinking and understanding.

Frankly, the test shouldn't need a calculator, nor should it need special practice. I was under the impression that math is usually not a heterogeneous substance, nor are the sciences, and even if literature may be subjective in nature, that essay questions are the simplest way to remedy this. Instead of having a test filled with misleading questions, the test could be clear, but demonstrate different levels of mastery. The math part could have problems from geometry to calculus, and the English test could keep the diction and other positive data in multiple choice, and just have an essay for demonstrating mastery of the English language.

Global warming WOULD cause freezing ass cold, it's the winter. It's both extremes, not just hot.

It's global climate fluctuation, not simply warming. Do you expect average people to understand science?

I was thinking.
Amazing, isn't it?
I am, by all means, what society would define as a complete and utter failure. I am chronically forgetful, to the point of disbelief, often. I have a self-prescribed, mild form of reverse dyslexia--I sometimes misread numbers, 2 for 3, and so on, it kills in multiple-choice math questions, and although not so much a problem with English, with the rise of computers (I sometimes transpose words). I am severely physically impaired, to the point of a near-zero (x, as lim x>0) chance of any job involving physical labor. I am socially impaired, a outsider in the case of society, for any number of reasons. I have average, if not below average mental facilities, surely nothing to remedy--more likely to further injure--my already pitiful condition. I lack ambition for money or success, kindness for man or animal. I am hopelessly selfish.
What is to happen to me, a cripple?

You say that as if this weren't already the case. How many U.S. politicians do you thing big business has in its pockets? Even those that it doesn't are unduly influenced by rich special interest groups who can afford to make their voices heard over that of the common person.

The common person doesn't care much about politics. They choose not to get involved. Now whose fault is that?

The vast possibilities are life are met with the harsh reality of death. If games leave one bereft of happiness after, just as anything else, why bother regretting it? Does it matter, as long as there was that moment where it felt good? If you want people to think highly of you, then I feel that it is impossible to meet your goal in such a way. Who do people think highly about, but people who don't strive to be thought highly about? At the expense of repetition and cliche, live your life, since there's not much else you can do.

THAT I agree with. America's reputation for work is low, and even though our statistics vs. the rest of the world is on the upper end, we've gotten too lazy.

Americans aren't lazy in the least bit. When it comes to the problem's limit, people will act. Until then, people will continue. People aren't rational, but adaptive.

Well, you sound kinda unhappy. Or more specifically you don't sound happy / satisfied / pleased with your current situation.

As I said, if you're not satisfied with the way things are currently, work out what you can to to make things better. You say you're too selfish? Why not try being mindful of that, and make an effort to be less selfish? Go out of your way to help others perhaps. I'm sure they will appreciate it, and you may find yourself new friends in having done so?

You say you don't think you're very smart -- some people think that things like reading can help improve that, so sit down with a book! Try challenging yourself mentally -- your brain is capable of growth and improvement through mental challenge.

It is possible to improve the things you are not pleased with.

I guess I might have not said this, by selfish I meant not self-indulgence, but that although I care little for others, I care for myself just as little; I am selfless and selfish. I don't think myself stupid, but that it's impossible to measure such a thing; this notion that I hold is generally called "stupid." It's not that I'm not pleased or unpleased, but out-of-place, an aberration. Is there anything so wrong, so vile, about this?

Everything that goes on in the United States needs electricity and if the ability to provide the same amount of energy drops because we haven't been able to fully adapt, the entire US way of life could be shatered.

If only it were so, but everyone isn't rational, as they would like to think. People will have to pay the consequences, and the deciding factor will be the severity of these consequences. Things will move on, for whatever end. How everything will turn up is questionable.

Well, considering you posted a thread about it, then I figured you were in some way unhappy about it.

Or is this just one of those "and I'm proud of it" threads?

As for the "stupid" thing, I only got the impression you were down on your intelligence from the comment: "I have average, if not below average mental facilities".

Your entire first post reads like you're very down on yourself. So I was trying to help.

If you are happy with yourself, what is the problem?

What is there to be proud of? I'm sorry if I'm not making sense, but I don't think that there's any problem of happiness, or the lack thereof. Why am I--in a world of such dissimilar people--alive?
