Well to be honest, that totally skipped my mind. But I enjoy the back-and-forth style for it's originality. Plus, I want to see how the people of Acmlm play!
NSaintNick: I flipped a coin to see who goes first and you do.
PM your move or post it if you want to go public.
Who do you want to play? My brother, Logan or me? I would suggest myself because he totally pwns.

Well, My family and I finally finished the Xmas decor. So many presents, ribbons, lights, and mini Santas, I think there's a tree in there somewhere.

How many can you find in my rank, the top and bottom of my post, my location, my pic, and who I am. I hold many but I got this far in my post.

This is strange, I had FF and now I use IE. They both worked.
But if it's a copy/paste thing, no problem.
P.S. is FuSoYa on this board?

I figured this out last Monday!

Open up yc.bin
Change D0 to 30

Open up noyc.bin
Change F0 to 10

And hurray! Now it will still work even if you have collected more than 5 Yoshi Coins!

Posted on 12-23-05 03:34 AM, in RAM/ROM Addresses Link
Acmlm has a SMW ROM and RAM addresses thread.
Why not have one for any game?
Could a mod sticky this?

How to post a find:
1. State the game it is
2. State whether it is a RAM or ROM trace
3. Give a description of what it is.
4. Try and be sure someone else hasn't found it before

If you would like to request a trace:
1. State which game you're talking about
2. Give a discription of what you're talking about
3. If you have any minute info that can help, don't hesitate to talk about it

I'll start with this. Super Mario Bros. 1 Level and Enemy Data
More SMB1
RAM
7E075A: Lives
7E075E: Coins

ROM
0x107A: # of lives to start with
0x3C22: # of coins needed for a life
0x53E2: Distance Pirhana Plants must be for them to come up.
0x53E3: Change to B0 to have the Pirhana Plants only come up if Mario is close enough, rather than far enough.

Super Mario Bros. 3
ROM
8E5E: First sprite Lakitu throws (Red Spiney Egg).
8E67: Second sprite Lakitu throws (Green Spiney Egg).

Super Mario All-Stars
ROM
113F99: First sprite Lakitu throws in SMB3 (Red Spiney Egg).
113FA2: Second sprite Lakitu throws in SMB3 (Green Spiney Egg).
1AC07: Change to EA EA EA EA EA to enable Pirhana Plants in W1-1 for SMB1
1DAB4: Change to B0 to have the Pirhana Plants only come up if Mario is close enough, rather than far enough for SMB1.

So far I only have Super Mario data, but this is open to any game.
P.S. I'm not sure whether this should be in ROM Hacking or Advanced ROM Hacking.

Damn it! If I knew how the Changing Block worked I could do it no problem. Well I'll get started and see what I can do.
One more thing: I found the hurt Mario code. I'm making a block that can hurt Mario even if he has Star Power or only if he has Star Power!
EDIT: YAY! Here it is!!

So did I. It's on the original memory map.
It doesn't exist anymore, so it didn't help me much (fortunately, I saved the page when there were some traces on it).

Those already exist.
And even if you didn't have them, you'd just have to open the normal hurt block and change/remove the 'is Mario invincible?' branch statement.
I tried removing the branch statement and it still didn't work. So I flew to the JSR the code had and there it was.

If they do already exist, can you give a link?
