i hand drew a map on paper. if you are trying to find the small key:

Spoiler:
search 3 rooms under the big chest, or 3 rooms above, 1 left from the armos knights, it should be under a pot

as for the big chest key,

Spoiler:
if you go STRAIGHT up from the room where you FIRST see the armos knights, you should come to a room with a chest. this should be the big chest key (or the mysterious tablet, not sure) but if not, i dont remember exactly where the big chest key was, probably the bottom left corner of the dungeon. remember, every door in this dungeon can be opened by pushing a block or defeating all the enemies.

EDIT: euclid, i'm still looking for the big chest key in parallel tower...PLEASE if you are reading this, tell me

Well, Euclid, it was a very good hack. I am not going to complete it. I was just inches away, just to be blocked by a locked door. I am missing small keys on the parallel tower, the light world one, and i'm not going to search for them in both worlds. (i used 6 total) Anyway, all in all, i really enjoyed this hack. Well done. Here are a couple things I think you should change:

Spoiler:

-the multiple tower climbs, especially the ice tile room with 4 sets of tiles. that was cruel, and extremely, extremely annoying. make it so all we have to do is kill moldorm to leave the room.

-the guardhouse. the difficulty needs to curve upward being quite easy at the beginning. the guardhouse was the hardest dungeon in the game.
-bugs need to be fixed

-the sword needs to be stronger as you get upgrades, even the master sword is pretty weak, about the same strength as the red one in the original

-the birds need to NOT do so much damage. the birds in the dark world do a whopping FOUR hearts of damage, and its rediculous

-the tunic doesn't affect the damage caused by some enemies

-the night/day thing wasn't too appealing to me, it just made everything harder to see. on that note, there are TOO MANY dark rooms in this game. also, link's sprite appears darker sometimes in dungeons, probably due to the night/day script. seems unprofessional.

-the spin charge does the same damage as a regular slash. this is obviously an error.

-torches in nabooru's hole. also less zappers. people will stop playing right then and there, considering how hard it was to find the big chest.

If you care to tell me where the last (probably 3) small keys are, i would finish this hack. i've collected these keys:

pyramid falls light world
3 parallel tower keys
icy beach cave key dark world
and some other light world key

Thank you for spending the time to make this hack. it was quite enjoyable.

Welcome to this hack! Enjoy your stay.

the level design was not tested enough. there are a lot of dungeons like this in this game.

i did the same thing, because if you notice the message slab in link's house in the dark world, it says do ruto's fortress second. so i did, and no fire rod. thanks for the crappy advice, message slab.

1. Where is the last key for the parallel tower? I got the one from the ice beach cave, one from the pyramid area, and i guess 3 from the tower itself. Where am i supposed to find the last one? At least a hint would be appreciated.

2. The "hard optional puzzle" doesnt even make any sense. Am i supposed to exploit some kind of glitch?

3. Where can I find the flute? I've looked up and down in both worlds and there's no sign of it.

4. In the waterfall cave north of Lake Saria, what am i supposed to do? I've tried lighting the torrches but for some reason they won't light with the lamp or the fire rod.

to adezero: you do need the fire rod, since you have to beat Kholdstare to get through Ruto's. I'm not sure how to do spoilers, but the fire rod is a lot easier to get if you get the cape first, which is in a different dungeon entirely.

Has anyone else noticed that when you fight the bss of Saria's Garden, if you exit through the south door, the game crashes? (I'm sure many people have noticed this)

i am stuck on the last key for the parallel tower as well. also, to the person who is stuck in the room with the tongues, it is NOT a one way hookshot maze. i got back to the entrance of the room just fine, trust me its possible. (i did it without the pegasus glitch as well)

also, yes, i ALSO noticed that when you leave through the south room of saria's boss then the game crashes. but this is probably just because i posted this earlier.

road: bald yet? that dungeon really is a pain in the ASS. (hence, nabooru's HOLE)

the red path? seriously? you can't find it? simple mistake, i guess. its on the

Spoiler:
very top floor, in the room with the slashable curtain, to get to the mirror, hit the switch and go down instead. there are 2 rows of spikes blocking you in, in one of the rooms, just walk through the ones above you and go up. this will take you to the big chest.

hint: do not skip this item as you will need it later

as for sheik's hideout:

Spoiler:
remember the blueish room with the boss key gate thing? like the gate guarding zelda in the original? that's where you need to go to get to the big chest. if you see mothula you are going the right way, and MAKE ABSOLUTE SURE that you kill vitrex when you see him, because this might be cause for deadly glitch if you dont. (not completely sure as of now) anyway, you can get to the blue area by going in the door on the right at the beginning, warping, go up, left, then up and you should be there. good luck

if you somehow manage to make it to the boss room, and there's NO BOSS, like i did, make sure your not teleporting during a grapple. this will confuse the game as to which floor you are on. this is another thing that needs to be changed.

yeah, agreed. im extremely frustrated trying to find these keys...

also, to the maker of the overworld map in this game: here are a few places that i'm pretty sure i'm NOT supposed to be able to reach. doing so makes the game crash if i try to go off screen in any direction....

On top of the brown rocky part in the ice fortress area. going to the right causes me to end up on the west side of the map, on the cold beach path. unfortunately i couldn't get inside the house there on the ledge

here i am stuck up on the ledge in the village church area. you can see it's glitched up, but link can still move. going offscreen after this crashes the game. i lost playtime.

lol yeah prince of persia style too bad i dont have zsnes. anyway, thats not how i got up there. go up toward the village church, and the part with the anti-sword statues, you can squeeze through the 2 left armos knights and go off screen to the left. then you can explore that area which lead me to the glitched area.

speaking of glitches...here's another one

maybe i just have an awkward playing style...

more lost progress FTW!

alastor, please, PLEASE tell me where to find the remaining keys for the blue path

i currently have:

Spoiler:

the pyramid falls key, light world
the halls of pain key
the dark world key, icy beach cave

i need 3 more, 1 in the light world and 2 in the dark world. i would greatly appreciate it if you could tell me where they are

also, where did you manage to find the flute? the bottles can be found as follows:

the first bottle
secret meadow
bottle merchant
lake saria, grapple from island to island

i too, am looking for the bombos and flute. i am finding more glitches than items and alastor, i think you should have marked

Alastor:

ummm....slight problem. i already have the light world key you mentioned, as well as the other two...i have 4 keys total right now. i've gotten 2 keys in the dark world. that means there is one left...which means i will only have 5 keys if i collect the one i am missing in the dark world.
Spoiler:

the ones i have:
pyramid falls light world
halls of pain light world
south beach cave light world
south beach cave dark world
lake ruins house dark world

well, no exploration glitch. they found a way to disable it...

i am honestly having more trouble with this hack, than super metroid: impossible

yes, maybe i should request approval. my bad, i really didn't know which forum this would go in (i figured emulation, since it can only be played on an emulator)

anyway, if any of you decide to play it, be prepared for the biggest challenge of your life. seriously. its harder than quitting smoking.

i have just completed it and would like to not spoil the game for any potential players, so this topic is now void, i guess. feel free to close it.

I guess the next thing to do is think about why things went the way they did and see if there's some self-improvement you could do in the meantime.

thanks for the advice.
but I can barely function right now. Need to keep the thinking to minimum.

Vyper: I'm 23 and she's 30.

yeah, definitely keep the thinking to the minimum. improve yourself in some way, every day whether it be working out, or going the extra mile at work. it will boost your confidence a lot and also greatly help out with the fact you just broke up. other than that, just watch t.v. or play some good hacks, maybe even some sudoku. just don't let your depression drag you into an alcohol or marijuana binge. and never forget, lightning can strike twice in the same place. maybe she just needs a break. take it easy.

since you still love her, for now, i would just give her the space and dont talk about heavy feelings ATM. wait until she's ready to hang out casually again and see where it goes from there.

You are a depressed person. whether it be chemical inbalance, or depression caused by a chain of events, it is easy to see that you are depressed.

Listen. Everyone has problems, i'm not putting your problems down because EVERYONE deals with their problems differently. For example, if my girlfriend were to tell me she was going to come over, and then ended up hanging out with another one of her guy friends, i would be angry. other people might not.

but that's besides the point. try living with the knowledge that your fingers might have to be amputated if you dont cut down on caffeine and smoking. try living with the fact that you dropped out of school for a year and are trying to go back, shaking with nervousness. try learning that you have a terminal disease. as you can see there are much worse things that can happen to a person.

once again i am not putting your problems down but you need to realise that in order to live up to society, depression is NOT an option. depression is a disease, a disease that blocks off parts of your true personality. if there is a part of you that you don't like, its because of the depression. you need to start caring more about yourself. time waits for no one. dont waste these years moping, and feeling sorry, because i did, and trust me i regret it. it will all kick you in the face eventually.

This happens a lot for me. Especially lately, and I don't know why. On average it probably takes me at least an hour to fall asleep, and 2 hours is never surprising.

Just telling me "Try not to think of stuff" isn't going to help really. This has gone on for years for me. And I'm really getting tired of it messing up my schedule and everything.

So, is there anything that I could do to help this? Determine if I really have insomia? Is there medicine's out there?

ahem...sleeping pills!!!!!!!!!

honestly, this is very, very, very common. a lot of people cant stop thinking at night and roll around tossing and turning. also, dont drink caffeine after 6 pm. to ADD to that, some people even feel the effects of caffeine long after it is ingested. so stop drinking caffeine mid day for a while (if you do) and see if that helps. otherwise take a sleeping pill like lunesta, although i don't like to do that because of risk of dependency.
