Lum and Ataru.

Hot. Damn.

The only real critique I have against it, even though it's simple, is that I think it'd be better if it consumed the whole post by default. It kinda looks funny otherwise.

Most. Awesome.

The only real thing you've got left to detect is rolls and mines. Rolls are done the same way as freeze detection and mines are like detecting a fifth kind of step.

You get that and you've got it I think.

I play Disgaea. Nuff said.

It doesn't really make a game but it's a nice extra. The actual meaning of the game means 10x more than the graphics themselves. If you had beautiful graphics and sucky gameplay I'd rather have the opposite.

Couple of links:

Holo-disc plans.
300GB discs on sale.

18,000 for the device, 180 for the 300GB disc. There are, of course, 200GB 8-layer Blu-Rays available now. If I read the first one right, they play on -1.6 TB- discs by 2010.

My question is why the heck would you need this much just yet? Store every single DVD you ever bought uncompressed?

Honestly, when I write, it's not because I'm aiming to please everyone with how well I know the English language. If it was all about that then I would probably be writing to get something of mine published, which I'm really not.

I like to write very informally. I find it's more down-to-earth that way. If this is for creative writing, then woo...if it's for a formal/business writing class, well you better have a handbook ready then.

To write formally, for me, feels really forced. In fact, when I go into detail just to convey a better picture, it kind of feels awkward but it's to help others better understand the situation they're in.

As long as you can be COHERENT is the big thing, I would think. You could have the best knowledge of English in the world but if you can convey a simple topic to someone then it isn't going to mean a damn.

I mean hell we're up to the gig(s) of RAM era.

Am I the only one to remember there being a case where '640K of RAM is more than enough'?

Wow. That was cool. What function button do I press to make SS explode like that again?

When did I ever state that it wasn't of importance? I'm just saying I would want coherence over someone being 100% accurate on their job of grammar. As long as you get the message across, it really doesn't matter that much aside from basic punctuation. Sure, I agree with that.

The way YOU'RE exploding makes me think you just took what I said and went 'lollers grmmr lol' with it. No need to get testy. I don't really care IF you're a major in the field of English, I didn't really deserve that.

I'm merely stating that, nothing more. I don't understand WHY you just exploded on me like that but okay.

Uh...DVD Player. Seriously. The ones that they have out now, they have media device trays (SD, XD, etc.) and places to put in memory sticks. Some even go to the U3 program that SanDisk oh so sucks for.

I have 192 (yea, I know, and it's PC100 even...can't even use 133 in this POS) and a 256MB vid card. I feel you. :\

But that quote was from Gates, if I'm not mistaken. Hell I remember my 12MHz 286 VGA enhanced system with 1024K of RAM with the turbo button and 40MB hard drive that was split 32/8 for reasons unexplained playing Scorched Earth on it with no problems whatsoever.

That PC soundboard was BAD ASS. You don't HEAR PC speakers that loud anymore.

Whether a game's this gen or last or even before doesn't make or break what a game is, you're right. I still play Killer Instinct but want to get into any decent fighter game, let's say. There are a ton of 'this-gen' games I'd love to get my hands on because they do look good and they do look like there's been time put into them.

Whether the industry has changed to fit the needs of the average consumer, however, doesn't excuse the fact of a used-to-be quality company such as Sega to release crap like Sonic Genesis. To release games just because they know they'll sell under the 'Sonic' logo is sad to say the least. What people used to do WAY BACK WHEN a GOOD AMOUNT of the time was actually bust their ass to make decent games. There's a reason the SNES was voted greatest console of all time via G4, for instance. Not saying that's the end all be all of polls but that shows that a good amount of consumers feel that a lot of good games and good ideas were put forth in that era.

Hell, at least with Sonic Mega Collections + on the PS2 I didn't feel like I was cheated out of 20 bucks even if the games weren't 100%. It's still 20 games with unlocks and they're pretty good emulated versions of the games. Now THAT'S how you do it. Not this crap on the GBA.

If Sega continued on with that consistency, they'd stay alive forever...but with this past year it just seems they're ready to cave in any day now.
