Okay, I've just had a look through this and I'm very impressed. The very fact that you don't need to compile straight to ROM and can use floating pointers is very neat.

Doppelgangers are convenient things. It's fun to exist in multiple places.

You get GCC with the 'Apple Developer Tools' package, which has XCode and a whole bunch of other things. It's worth the 1gb.

And yes, Xcode IS godly. Wrapping up Java applications in an OSX application bundle is handy too.

My reaction to the spiders would not be girlish screams no, it would be to find a pair of cans of insect spray and go on an overkill rampage.

I would drown the bastards in spray. DROWN.

Yeah, I'll be quite honest. I've wanted to hack pokemon for a while, but scripted/rubikon confuses me more than working in THUMB assembly code. XD

I might have to edit a module for this thing to compile some advance wars 2 stuff as well. XD

Oh, quit using owning a mac as an excuse.

Seriously. I've been using a mac for years now, and I only learned how to hack in like 04/05. I picked up a Hex Editor and started learning how to hack. As of now, I probably know the most about Advance Wars 2 in the AW community. If you fiddle with things, you can teach yourself most things. Pointers are one of the most important concepts in hacking, and to be quite honest I figured out what pointers are by myself. You just figure things out if you go away and hack. Some things require research (IE, I had to ask people how Lz77 compression worked, and I've been asking about assembly), but most things you CAN figure out by yourself.

Also, if you desperately need to use a windows only tool, there are a myriad of Windows emulators out there to do that job. They won't play Unreal Tournament, but damn, if you want to use Unlz.gba or something like that they're invaluable. (Read, Qemu, Bochs, Virtual PC (PPC Macs)/Parallels Desktop (Intel Macs).)

Secondly, you do realise that C is a reasonably portable language, right? I bet a whole bunch of apps you've used are written in C (Or C++) in OSX.

Now go away and use that gray matter.

I still can't find a Wii anywhere.

Which is crazy. I live in Adelaide of all places....things don't get sold out here!

Works fine for me. But then again, I'm in South Australia, and Westnet is an Australian ISP....

An airport is probably the weirdest place I've bought a game...not THAT weird really. What with Duty Free and all.

From memory, leg cramps are often the result of a dietary deficiency. You're probably not getting enough of something, but I can't remember what nutrient is associated with preventing cramps.

Well, normally I'd just use screenies, but I thought that would be far faster than actually explaining it. Besides, it's only a 10 second video. ;

Funky.

Which begs the question - are the Metroid Fusion items and enemies still existant in Zero Mission (Ice Missiles, Diffusion Missiles, SA-X, Free X parasites ) ?

My dreams subconciously try and cheer me up when I'm feeling down. I have really warm and happy dreams when I'm feeling depressed.

It's kind of nice, but at some fundamental level I feel like I'm taking pity on myself. O_o

Lucid dreams are indeed fantastic, but I haven't had one in a good few years now, and I haven't had the same dream recall that I had years ago. When I was in High School I was quite easily able to remember 2-3 dreams a night and be able to journal them in the morning. Now I'll be lucky to have one a week. I really should journal them again, I guess. It really did help....
