| Well, a funky new release!
Huzzah (I'll test assembling majiggies later). However, I have a question...how do I get it to use the GBA Rom's instruments for the songs like in 1.1? I have GBA mode on, but it's still using the instrument table in the application... |

I get a Run-time error '76' Path not found whenever I use the load ROM button after I've opened a ROM. Then again, I'm using a pure US ZM that I ripped from my own cart... |

| Wait, nevermind.
Turns out I didn't notice the Volume Slider (or that it was mute by default). ;
Seems the day after New Year's celebrations got the better of me. XD (edited by Xenesis on 01-01-07 07:33 AM) |

| Ahaha.
The Mac OSX version is already out. I guess that's the advantage of a Unix based OS. *downloads for his own amusement* |

| Eh, all it did was remove most of the stupid classes that were re-introduced in FE8 and fixed up the stupidity of the mages.
I mean, Great Knight? Summner? It also did a lot of great things I must say. The Strength - Weight system is so so so much better than the crappy Con system of the GBA games (Read: The small chibi mage is no longer eternally effed over). Bonus EXP means that the later arriving characters aren't automatically delegated to the bench. And the fact that the Pre-Premotes are basically on par with any of the unpromoted characers. The support system is also leagues above the GBA ones, because you don't have to wait 230 thousand turns for a support level to increase. ;
Yeah, I like PoR, and think that it's the only truly good one that I've played so far (FE6-FE9) Kirby: Connecting FE7 and FE8 to PoR only unlocks you two Trial Maps to play per game and some art galleries. (edited by Xenesis on 01-03-07 11:21 AM) |

| As an individual known for bursts of being completely unable to sleep, I empathise. That being said there are things that I've learned to do that help me sleep
-Avoid being hungry/thirsty/needing to relieve oneself. Pretty self explanatory, I find I tend to be kept awake and can't sleep when my body has some quickly solvable physical desires. -Control the temperature in your sleeping room I can't sleep if it's too hot in my room, personally. My ideal room temperature for sleeping is something like 15ºC, and find it hard to sleep otherwise. -Expose yourself to drastic light differences when sleeping versus awake. I cannot stress this enough. When awake, make sure that you're exposed to lots of light and sunlight. When you're asleep, make sure that it is dark. Don't make your body associate itself with activies in the dark apart from sleeping. And by dark, I mean dark. Close your blinds to block out the streetlight. Turn off the blinking lights from the computer. Turn off the standby light on the stereo. You should not be able to see a single colour in your room. Rods of the eyes working all the way. -Train yourself to stop thinking about things and relax your muscles. Half the time I'm not sleeping is because I just continue to think about random things. It can usually be broken by thinking about something that causes the directionless cascade of thoughts to stop, an old friend of mine proposed the paradox 'Thinking about thinking'. It works surprisingly well. Also make sure to fully relax all your muscles. I've found from experience that sometimes I'm subconsciously clenching my fists which isn't really good for dozing off. -Have a routine Self explanatory enough. I sleep better during the University semester because I have a routine for getting up at the same time daily. You'll tend to naturally get tired at times, which is when you should probably go to sleep. Which brings me to my next point (which I'm guilty of ignoring far too often) -Go to sleep when you feel tired, not 'when you should'. Things like sleep like to work in nice neatly laid out time cycles. When you're feeling really tired at some point in time and then feel quite awake half an hour later, it's more than likely a cycle thing. Go to bed when you feel tired, you'll fall asleep faster. If you're not tired when you try to fall asleep, I find that it's incredibly difficult until the next cycle comes around - this is often up to an hour and a half later. -Exercise more during the day Exercise works wonders for one's sleeping ability. I'm sleeping far better now because I have lots more daily exercise (1/2 hour a day, and another 2-3 hours on Mon/Wed) despite sleeping in a room that is routinely 25ºC because of summer and that the streetlight likes to peek through my window blinds. Significant daily physical activity is far far more helpful than you might realise for sleeping. That's all my suggestions for now, but I can vouch that to sleep well you have to fundamentally change a variety of small things everywhere. |

| I'm perfectly happy to tolerate people smoking around me, but I can't say that it's my cup of tea. Then again, my parents are both heavy smokers and 20 years of hearing my father's smoker's cough has pretty much turned me off smoking for life. I don't care much for the smell of smoked clothes (Which really bugs me when I borrow a Jumper of my dad's or something) much either.
So, if I was looking for a sexy someone, I'd say that it'd be more of a turn off than a turn on. |

| Has her doctor checked for Tonsilitis? I had a reasonably notable case of it when I was a young child and it severely impaired my ability to breathe properly. | |||

| Oh boo hoo hoo.
I use a mac too (In fact I only had access to windows regularly since about mid-december) and I've found bucketloads of data for Advance Wars 2, my pet hacking game. Get yourself a Hex Editor and start destroying things. Then look at the results and refine your destruction. Rinse and repeat. Find Data. Profit. |

| I stand by my belief that Illusion of Gaia (Or Time, in PAL) is better than Terranigma, despite Terranigma being the sequel.
But that's just my opinion. |

Banjo Kazooie Diddy Kong Racing Goldeneye/Perfect Dark Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Wetrix. Yeah. |

| Eh, Blackboard isn't too bad. Used it rather extensively in First Year, the Science Department kind of abandons it in the higher years apart from distributing lecture notes.
That being said, never had a problem with it using either Safari or lololol. |

| Yeah, okay, so I'm just learning this, and this point kinda has me baffled a bit.
What's the best way to jump significant distances in the ROM? I ask because there's a function that I want to add to. Currently at 080176A6 there's the function (In Advance Wars 2) that gets the current day, increments it by 1 and then saves it and returns (BL LX I think). I want to make it write to that address as usual, copy it to another address, LSL it and copy to a third address and LSL it again and copy it to the fourth address. Now, there's almost no empty space in the rom I could jump to within a small range (IE, Less than 0x2048). However, there's about 2Mb of free space at the end of the ROM, and I don't really understand how to jump all the way down there, even after reading the GBATEK document. Thanks for you help guys. |

| Thanks Spikeman, that helps me a lot.
Although, if I do need to preserve the lr, how would I do that? Just copy the current lr contents to another register, and then move it back into the lr when I've finished my routine? |

| Blah, this is too annoyingly hard for me. (I don't like savestates, and I don't like having to use them due to koopa jumps, or bullet bills with Pirahna Plant fireballs and half a square to dodge in).
Oh well, it was something to do while that youtube video loaded... |

Originally posted by RadioShadow Man, you make me really want to update my Snifit Sturm Graphics patch. Goddamn that was old. Needs a redo with a better pallete. In fact I think I did the Sniffit Sturm hack before I knew how to pallete edit XD. Actually, I'll make that my project for next week. And you're going to hate me when I update my Balance Hack. Because then you'll have to update again. Even so, nice work. You should start experimenting with Sappy though, and see if you can get Ember's theme into AW2 from the Midi instead. Because after playing Custom Wars with her, it's just not the same.
Originally posted by Celice Only if you use the ROM Dumps that are around on the net. They're all trash. Especially as the Mode7 one is the only one you'll usually find. I made a patch a while ago that converts the Mode7 Dump of AW2 to my personally ripped copy (AW2Aus...Which is AW2 (U), except the header reports as AW2 (E). ; ). The Mode7 Dump is especially notorious for crashing and whitescreening when hacked. I'd assume the same happens when one uses it on a flashcard.
... I can't find the patch, I'll have to make it again and put it up again later. ; |
