| Actually, that's a thought.
Considering that Metroid Fusion is basically the same as Zero Mission engine-wise (as far as the untrained eye can tell), would one possibly see MF editing in the future as well? But the editor is looking great, I'll say that much. |

| I'm glad Metroid Fusion will be possible in the future, as there's a few things I like in that game when compared to Zero Mission.
Namely, the non abusive Bomb and Wall jump, not to mention that reviving enemies is immensely cool. The bosses are a lot harder on the whole too. Regardless, the two have some differning potentials and tweaks that make a few differences. Namely the things I listed above, plus the non-separation of the Missiles and Super Missiles, with a few different beams or two. ![]() |

| Heh. I logged in just to post about Famicom Wars.
Celice, that looks cool..I never bothered with Famicom Wars, but nice job retro-porting Advance Wars 2's graphics back to it...and the palletes aren't too mutilated either. I could actually probably stand the oldness if the map wasn't as eye-bleeding as it is in the original.
But damn...they really have kept some of those maps for over 20 years. ; |

| Heh. You're posting that everywhere Radio.
Which reminds me that I actually need to get a look at it. Pity you haven't done the music yet..but eh, there's always updates. ![]() |

That's really handy. I could definitely find a use for that. *Saves to hard drive* |

I agree with this list of priorities. It's actually nice to see the original SMW graphics, anyway to be honest. And Yoshi's Island always looks slick, regardless of where you find it. Still, keep to this checklist of priorities and you can't really go wrong. |

Yes. Actually start hacking. ;
Show of some half completed work at least. |

| Heh. nice.
Christos' maps look pretty good (But that's to be expected of the fella), but yours seem to feel a bit unnatural at the moment..Try scattering the natural features a bit, they feel a bit too blocky at the moment. But apart from that, nice work. |

| There are hundreds upon thousands of documents on hacking pokemon games.
It's the second most hacked series next to Mario. First, thumb through the sticky threads at the top of the board. Secondly, go read the posts on this board, and the board's archive (Link in the 'Display Case'). Thirdly, get out some utilities like Elitemap or whatever and just experiment. Your first hacking attempts won't be dramatically awesome. Hell, my first hack was to change the name of a CO Power in Advance Wars. That's just changing several text characters. Fourthly, make backups. ALWAYS make backups. It's all just a matter of spending time tinkering with things. |

| Worms Armaggeddon has better customisability with The Fiddler though. Of course, WWP has other nice things. I own them both, so meh. (Then again I got WWP for ten bucks AUD..that's like the cost of a hamburger.)
Then again, I have the fondest memories of Worms 2. And nice going. But then, Team 17 is pretty cool like that. They actually listen to people. |

I've done it two years in a row now. Oh well, always AVCon2007. ; |

| Eh, I believe that Rare were going to include the ability to use a Transfer Pak and the GBC camera to transfer a photo of your face onto a character in Perfect Dark.
Perhaps he's asking if the same sort of thing is here? |

| Seriously, all I will say is that editing AW2 maps is really fucking difficult. Editing map headers and predeployed units is a piece of piss, but trying to make a new landform is excruciatingly difficult.
Of course, it isn't helped that it appears that each tile ID is used (of which there are far too many). Now, I can tell you where they are.. This leads to the map header info: http://forums.warsworldnews.com/viewtopic.php?t=1247 Location of map headers and some map data: http://forums.warsworldnews.com/viewtopic.php?t=3159 Now, if you can figure out the bloody map's compression, I will personally bow in your presence. All I can tell for the actual map is that the first 7 bytes are significant, and I believe the 6th and 7th are used to determine map dimensions from memory. |

| Now explain to me how to decompress Lz77 by hand, and then recompress it, and I'll love you forever.
I read the document on Hyperhacker's site about it, but I'm still thoroughly confused. ;
As for an editor, yes. I'm learning Java (slowly) for that purpose. |

You know, I never thought of that, especially as I know where several million map pointers are. ;
Of course, getting a useable output would be rather difficult, but I'll give it a shot and report back. ![]() |

My laptop is 4 and a half years old now. ;
The USB ports now no longer work, and the Hard Drive rattles. Oh, and it kernel panics if I run Visualboy for more than 5 minutes, and crashes in anything processor intensive.
I need a new computer.... |
