| It definately sounds good and all... but I have a complaint about the graphics...
Make the background a little darker, because it can look kind of confusing to the player... If you do that I think the looks would even out nicely and you'll have a great thing goin on here. |

I did a hand-made version of the graphics I saw here. It took me about 1 1/2 hours. If you are still interested in doing this hack, let me know. I'd be more than happy to do some graphics for you. | Here are some SS of my GFX-sets I was using for a hack I'm not going to have the time to complete. The Zelda 2-ish is the newest one, I created it earlier tonight.

| To solve the lack of sprites available for powerups, couldn't you just use one sprite (lets say the Flower) and hack it to be a different palette? I don't know much about ASM, but is it possible to lets say, use a Blue fire flower for the ice flower and then a normal one for fire?
Once again, i'm a n00b to ASM... |

if you didn't want to rip GFX. for example - South Park GFX http://www.geocities.com/offcharacter/gfx6.gif (I hate not drawing detail, ugh) I don't know, I like a little originality in hack art... it makes things.... sexier. |

I was just saying that as an example. I'm not talking about just changing it all together. I'm gonna stop talking now, because I have no idea what any of this means. I'm an artist, not a coder :-\ (yet) |

| Well, I like the first FG a lot more than the second.
The second seems less three-dimensional. The first one is great. Now the green fields FG kinda looks more mossy than grassy
I would make the green a little more green and a little less blue (i.e., make it match the BG colors a little more.) But, nicely done again. |

| Not bad for a first hack, but you really don't need to add screens of every level you create (imagine how many screens you'll have when your 100% done instead of 3%.)
Spend less time on SS and more time on the hack. |
