Isn't wave dancing holding down on the control stick, then jumping and air dodging as soon as you press the jump button?

Do a directional A attack in the air and press L the moment before you hit the ground. You stand back up in half the time it takes normally. Kind of hard to do but you'll get used to it. I generally do not like using it.

Geeze...

... Car or headphones blasting music? Yeah, while preventing the high-pitched sound we'll all blow our hearing while we're at it.

Ear plugs don't usually block certain frequencies... well, sometimes.

Kind of off-topic but what exactly is copied from the archive? If you mean this thread, I didn't know. All I looked at in the archive was ROM hacking. I usually ask this question to anime fans so I felt like doing it here.

You must have not been in a physics or music audio technology class before. Fortunately for me, I have.

It doesn't matter how loud something is playing... it depends on the frequency and the location of where you are. Older people can't hear it because they LOST that sense of frequency (when you listen to something, even if it's not very loud, you'll eventually be unable forever to be able to listen to that frequency. Sound is obtained in your ear when vibrations rub against little hairs inside your ear, and the more powerful the sound waves, the easier it is to shed those hairs... even if the sound is not that loud). So, volume doesn't matter. By turning your music up you'll still hear the sound, and you'll be hurting your ears at the same time.

You have learned, young padawan.

Welcome to Acmlm's. Did we mention to you that for your first year here, you must work in the dungeons to pick up the stool of our prisoners? 'Cause if we did we're lying.

Have some fun, but not too much because I like to hog the rest of it.

!!!!!!! EXPLAIN THESE FABLED RUNTIMES.

The majority of the errors I constantly keep getting are "RUNTIME ERROR" and the programs shut down. I think that must be the reason.

Where do I get these so-called, legendary... "run times". TELL ME NOW OR A RABBIT WILL CASTRATE YOU IN YOUR SLEEP.

Well... I've never seen the program so I can't say for sure, but I do know you can do a shitload of stuff on RPG Maker, you just have to be smart with doing it. I remember one of the old games I made... I had four pieces of code relating to the same thing, and the page took 4 minutes to load. Sometimes the pages would freeze my computer... now those are some complex codes.

It was a huge code. Basically, it was my own levelling up system for every character in the game (there were only four characters though). That game also had a system like Seiken Densetsu 3 which has day/night and days of the week, and on specific days different monsters would be stronger or weaker, and different events would come up including discounts on store items. Whenever a new day would come, a header telling what day it is would pop up on the top of the screen. It was cool.

That game also had a code that would generate a random amount of field monsters that would be seen on the field that you could walk into and fight (they'd chase you down if they saw you). It would also have a database diceroll like the monsters that would generate random chests if it landed on a certain variable, and in those random chests are random items, and with those random items... there may be a trap that could hurt your party.

It was an extremely complex RPG Maker game.

Still, I don't understand that, if someone speaks and music is simply overwhelmingly loud, you can't hear them, whats the difference.

I figured you would say that. There's a bit of a difference between that, but I can't really explain it. It has something to do with the frequencies. I can't give you a precise answer on that part because I can't remember everything I learned. But one of the main points of it is... that your ears will 'splode if you turn your music up too high.

STOP! Grammar time.

Are for Visual Basic Progams they are files that some programs require to run
you usually get a messege saying -Bla Bla Bla Bla Bla File -*.ocx/dll*- is missing
search for said file in google and download and regaster it if neaded to be regastrated

Now, I figured it would be pretty childish of me to not know that. Damn. Good thing I already knew, huh? Thing is, IT DOES NOT TELL YOU THE FILE. Did I say it did? No. I said specifically: "RUNTIME ERROR".

My oh my.

Depends on how you study it. If you're dedicated and have the right material, it's simple (except for kanji, kanji is ludicrous. Even a lot of Japanese people don't know all of their kanji. Kanji = 2000+ characters). Learning hiragana and katakana is very simple though.

Everytime I see "OMG NEW HACK LOOK SCREENSHOTS", I just see more and more horribly designed levels. Well, not everytime, just most of the time. People seem to just not take their time anymore when making a hack, they just pop horrible level designs or "challenging levels" out of their heads and make a few a day. A good designer would almost stress over a good, fun level design that has progressive challenge throughout a game (depending on the style of your game). These designers usually take more than a day to do one level.

I'd suggest the majority of you who make SMW hacks put more time into designing your levels so they're fun. If you're going to make a challenging game, at least make it professionally and not just random shit that will perplex the player but bore the hell out of him/her as well.

You know, those little pointless ATK, SPD, etc. things on a user's "RPG Status"? They're all practically the same and grow the same way. I take it it's not done.

If possible, something interesting would be to make each one go up depending on how a user posts. Such as ATK... maybe it could go up by how "big" a user posts, if you know how to monitor that. SPD could be how fast a poster posts in one day. Whatever.

I just wanted to know how these things increase.

Super Mario Bros. 1 was Nintendo's first Mario platform adventure... they didn't take all of the time to put good use to their game engine and just repeated a lot of the levels. Since SMB1 was their first Mario platform adventure game, I can understand that. SMB1 was a good original, but it doesn't have anything on SMB3.

It seems that NES emulators are almost as "durable" as the system itself. No NES emulator that I have ever tried actually continued working after a while, for some reason.

I actually think that Mario Volleyball will be coming out... it's a pretty popular sport and there's already a lot of volleyball videogames, so Nintendo might do it.

Also, Mario Pool seems kind of likely as well. I'm not too sure about Rugby though, or anything like that.
