Posted on 12-01-06 01:22 PM, in Same-Sex Classrooms Link

On the subject of same-sex classrooms, it doesn't work. I'm in an all-male programming class (coincidentally NOT same-sex, but no girls decided to sign up, so it's a total sausage-fest) and half the class is failing. It's proof that there's absolutely no merit to implementing any sort of gender-discriminatory classes.

Posted on 12-01-06 01:26 PM, in Looks like the Dems are winning Link

I'm thinking that although democrats primarily won seats in the house and senate, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll be able to touch the executive branch of government. The three main runners for the 2008 democratic race: Obama, Hilary Clinton, and the other guy are a failure waiting to happen. It's not because of their views -- Obama is very well liked, as is Hilary Clinton.

The fact of it is that it's impossible to get a minority into the presidency. 2/3 of the possible candidates for presidency are a minority (African-American, Women) and will have a very difficult job of getting office.

I'm voting Obama.

It'll be interesting to see it all play out.

Oh, and just in time for college! Go Dems!

A difficult question to answer. (Not the math, don't worry.)

The environment someone grows up in has a lot to do with the amount of education they soak up. Ironically, some of the people with the best resources on earth at their fingertips don't live up to that name and don't do well simply because so much pressure is heaped on them. Younger siblings, for example, of intelligent students feel that they have to compete and after being beaten time and time again, they give up. It's too complicated to answer, but a person getting a simple GED question wrong still had the initiative to take the GED.

Religion interfering with an institution of government: marriage, is wrong. Does an Athiest believe that God said marriage was between a man and a woman? Of course not, so why do Americans forget about this simple act of freedom when they strive so hard to be politically correct?

Obesity is one's own fault.

Yes, there are certain people. With certain somatotypes.
But the fact of the matter is, eating a certain way and exercising
a certain amount can rid your body of excess fat.

I do agree with the idea that prejudice against these people is wrong. Unfair judgement of someone being slothlike just because they are large is a problem, but it IS their own fault. <3

Hello, chocobo11!

I've just now logged on after more than a week of inactivity to find a most insatisfactory reply to my flagrant use of innappropriate "l33t." My colloquialistic speech may or may not live up to your expectations of grammar; however, your idea of how to spell "maybe" puts my l33tsp33k to shame. Who spells maybe, "mabey?" An 11 year old? How about my name? Not that hard, it's printed right above. "S-K-R-E-N-E" not "skreen". Oh, and it only takes one "in." I have a feeling you've just now butchered the English language more than I have with every ounce of "wlnz0rz" I have in my body.

Ouch.

Posted on 12-18-06 12:45 PM, in Christmas Wish List! Link

My wishlist:

-Regulation size soccer net
-Some sort of kickback
-Adidas +F30 Turf shoes for indoor (orange or light blue)

-iPod mini (2 gig or something, not too big or expensive.)
-CD's

-Gift cards: To the mall, clothing stores (in desperate need), movies, etc.

What I'm getting:

-My $300 class ring.

Doesn't bother me. It was $300. And I'm the stupid person who accidentally signed down 18k gold instead of spraypainted gold!

Why do you think emo kids cry?

The music brings them back to the moment that causes them all the grief they feel

Does anyone know any cheats to any FIFA game? I can't seem to find many on most of the sites, IGN and stuff. I don't mean to sound like a cheater, but I like to max out the entertainment of my games and messing around with them is one way I do it. Anyone have any info?
