Hey im Fieldy101 and im relatively new to rom hacking.

Ive been reading up on rom hacking and stuff and decided to help me learn some more to make an editor for Pokemon Blue/Red. Ive got some questions about it and would just like to ask them.

Thanks for your consideration

Well if you would like me to explain a little more about myself, OK. I'm 15 and got into ROM hacking recently through an IPTV show. The show explain more about RAM hacking and using it for cheating and stuff like that. I started looking around the internet for some more info and found out about ROM hacking.

I've been looking at editor and stuff around and wanted to make some off this stuff myself. What I'm currently doing at the moment is writing an editor for Pokemon Red/Blue and so far it has the functions of changing wild pokemon, changing intro pokemon and items you can buy at the marts. However I have some questions as I am still fairly new to this.

I've been making an editor for Pokemon Blue/Red. I'm curious as to how many other editors there are out there. If there aren't very many I may continue this project into something worth distributing but if there are enough out there I might leave this to just sit on my computer.
I know that there is Pokemap but is that it?

I search through that thread and didn't find anything about Pokemon Blue or Red.

I tried to find redmap and bluemap and couldn't find them. I found an empty zip file for redmap and nothing for bluemap.

I'd give it a go at crystal. If not Crystal though I think Silver is better then Gold.

Well depends on what I have the next day. Mondays, Wednesday and Friday I have gym at 6 in the morning before school so normally around midnight on those nights.

On other nights normally between 12 and 2.

OK I've decided to try and run a sudoku challenge here at Acmlm. I've seen King Kattwah competition and I think I will run something similar.

To those who don't know what Sudoku is here are the rules:
A 9x9 grid is shown with numbers filled in. The difficulty will decide how many number are filled in at the start.
The 9x9 grid is divided into 9 3x3 grids. In these grids the numbers 1 to 9 are filled in. No number may be repeated twice.
In each column and row there also may only be one of each number.

Now the rules for this competition:
Every 5 or so days, I may change this if I think it's neccisary, I will post one easy, one normal and one hard sudoku puzzle.

Points are awarded like so:
1 point for an easy puzzle
2 points for a normal puzzle
3 points for a hard puzzle

1 additional bonus points for solving a puzzle that isn't with the solution I have.

I'm not going to start straight away, I would like to get the work out and find out how many people would like to play. Post here if your interested and help get the word out. Also PM me with any suggetions if you have any.

Well so far response has been great so maybe I'll start this in about 24 hours. And anyone found to be cheating (not sure how you'd find out ) will be disqualified imediatly. Lets keep the spirit of the game.

Spread the word a bit as well, signatures and stuff.

Yeah, someone probably will and there isn't much we can do to find out about it.

However I've got some problems in doing this as I am going to be unavailable for a few weeks . If someone else wants to do it they can PM me about me but I mightn't be able to respond. I'll try to keep it ontrack but I can't promise anything.

Wow If I could use paint that well image the possibilities. I struggle to make a sun look good in paint let alone a car. The amount of planing as well though ... things like where the light and darkness are would've been at least thought of earlier.
