Originally posted by Zoku That actually doesn't seem too unreasonable. A bit of ASM tracing would probably let you kill the boss-checks... I was actually trying to do that a while back, but I don't know ASM too well (read: at all, at least usefully) and got frightened and gave up. |

| That last one is cool. I really like the knights for some reason. It definitely looks a bit better with the blue than with purely white/grey, at least to me. | |||

| Okay, this is my fault for being too lazy to check, but... wouldn't the options frame color change code also change the A/B/inventory borders?
The spinning one sounds rather amusing, but that's just me probably. |

| I don't think the vote got broken. I think we broke Xkeeper. Poor guy... having his mind shattered because of a star. However creepy that star may be.

I know that if it was legal (and regulated) a lot of heavier drugs wouldn't be in the stuff, but... I don't know. I don't particularly like the use of drugs to relax, and that seems to be the main use for the stuff. |

| I'm not sure quite what I did, but... Somehow, in the hack I'm making, I managed to make it so that the layer 3 tidal water (both types) no longer affects Mario. Has anyone else had any experience with this happening, or how to fix it?
(All I've done so far is to apply BMF's pirhana plant fix patch, alter the number of walking/running frames Mario uses from the data thread, alter the graphics a bit through Lunar Magic, change Mario's unique palette portion, and change Mario's mappings a bit with Smallhacker's tool.) I don't think screenshots would show too much... If an IPS is needed, I can put one up. Anyone have any idea what's wrong? |

It could also mean something along the lines of "barring further evidence, all I have is a general feeling, and that's not enough to make a decision off of." ...Off-topic, sorry. EDIT: Health doesn't have much to do with legality, anyway. Smoking's still legal, even with so many similar problems; alcohol as well, even with the liver damage. I still won't say whether or not it should be legalized, because I have no strong opinion one way or the other. (edited by Skreename on 03-18-06 08:20 PM) |

| Hmm... On second thought, the problem isn't with the layer 3 water. It's that Mario doesn't respond to layer 3 ANYTHING now. Needless to say, this makes certain levels in the original game VERY easy, but makes others... completely impossible.
Again... any help would be appreciated, if anyone's ever had this problem before. |

| I think it depends on the type of preaching... Since I have heard NOTHING about it being illegal in any way, shape, or form, except for government officials doing it in their role as officials.
EDIT: Except if it's in such a way as to attempt to inspire disorderly conduct. Inciting a riot is still illegal, but that's only in a few cases. (edited by Skreename on 03-23-06 02:00 PM) |

Try to put in something, at least. I'd suggest some of the background hill things, those are better than nothing. Also, what happened with that edge of the ground of that one section? (12th screenshot) Oh, and try to put edges on the ground that doesn't have an end on the side... That's a big thing I noticed in the 7th, 9th, 13th, and 14th screenshots. |

Originally posted by Shyguy No. No you aren't. These are natural feelings because of what happened. I know... I've felt them too. You seem like a good guy overall. You may have your flaws, yes, but... you will ALWAYS overestimate them when something like that happens. I can't tell you to try to get over it, because I know that it takes time... But just remember that you're not alone. Lots of guys (and girls, if they're the ones asking) have that happen, and they always will. And yes, if you have crushes on people, a decent part of the time you'll get hurt. But another large part of the time, it'll give you something to hope for, something to be happy about. (In case you're wondering, something similar happened to me a bit over a year ago. I finally worked up the courage to tell the girl I had a crush on (my first, also) about it, only to find out that she had a boyfriend, one which she had gotten in between when I got the crush and when I admitted it. That kinda wrecked my emotional state for a LONG time.) Oh, and on a random note... if you think it'd bother you too much, it's not THAT big a deal to miss your prom. I skipped mine. Went out and watched Star Wars. It was a good night for me... And quite a bit cheaper, too. Of course, I've had people yell at me about it, but they don't really matter. |

| I have 4 cats and 2 dogs... Let's see...
For cats, there are: Lucifer, a blue-point siamese. He's my dad's cat... getting old. Can't see too well, but he's still decently nice. Tends to get lonely if my dad's not around, though. Squeak, a tiger-striped thing. We have NO idea what his breed is, since we got him and his brother from some family whose cat had kittens, and they don't know what the father was. When we got this one, NOBODY thought he'd survive... and so far, he's been in my home for a good 6 or so years... And he's mine. Does his best to pretend to be paying attention to nothing, but winds up keeping rather good track of me. Also tends to wander around the house meowing and pawing things because he's bored. Rascal, a black and white thing, Squeak's brother. Very heavy... almost 20 pounds. My dad wanted him, so naturally he latched on to my mom. Very timid... it used to be that if things fell near him, he'd jump a good 6 inches to a foot in the air straight up. Other than that, he's the nicest cat to people that we have... even if he is rather shy. He's started realizing that he outweighs all of the other cats by quite a bit, and tends to pick fights with the cat we got last year. Isabelle, a calico longhair. Very sweet... we got her from my grandmother, since she kind of just... appeared after hurricane Isabel went through, and my grandmother's not a cat person. Of course, since my mom was the one who fell in love with this one, she chose to instead latch on to me. Very clingy, and doesn't do too well with the other cats. Unfortunately, we think she got in a fight with one of them, since her ear got split rather recently. Dogs... Brother and sister, Spike and Lady. Spike is one of the sweetest dogs I know... decently often, he'll paw someone just to get them to hold his hand. He'll bark some, but he's really friendly. He also has dysplasia in his hips, which makes him limp a decent amount sometimes, even though some medicine he takes handles it pretty well. His sister... quite a bit more energetic, also tends to do anything possible for people. They're both nice dogs, even if they tend to paw a bit too often. Previous pets... there have been quite a few, all cats. I personally remember Wumpus, a shorthair calico, Spirit, a seal-point traditional/appleheaded Siamese, Tessie (short for Planetessimal, or "Little wanderer"... my dad named that one), a black and white shorthair of some sort, and Piewacket, another blue-point Siamese. |

| Hmm... Let's see... What all do irons have? There's heat... pressure... OH! And water! Please try to remember the water the next time you have thoughts of putting clothes in the oven.
(Psst... try the microwave next time. Tell us how it goes.) |

| I can actually see why they put it all on the disc itself... If nothing else, the less you have to download to do stuff, the better, typically. Of course, they do have the slight issue of trying to get people in trouble for it, given how it's not actually illegal, but that's okay. How it plays out... will be seen later. |
