| Why should you not still hack roms? Oftentimes, the best way to understand what you SHOULD do and HOW is by looking at something that did it well beforehand. For instance, if you wanted to get into platformers, it would be a good idea to look at how the Mario series does things, just to get an idea of how things work.
If nothing else, looking at the original games is fun. |

| It would probably be decently easy to replace random models from one game with another... But that's not THAT impressive. I thought you were talking about having something, you know, BIG going on. (I'll admit that I didn't watch the video.)
(For instance, look at all of the random Phantasy Star Online action replay codes that swap arbitrary model 1 with arbitrary model 2. I've seen them specifically in that game; the filenames are rather obvious, I'd guess.) |

| Copy and paste the link. Then it'll work.
Your collision detection is definitely funky. Think you could make it so that colliding with the side of a platform won't force you underneath it if you're below the halfway point? Since that's REALLY obnoxious. I'd suggest making it so that until you're actually below it, you won't be able to move to below it. Also, the jumping feels a bit... weird. Perhaps speed it up slightly? I suppose it's personal preference, but... Yeah. EDIT: You definitely need to look at the collision for the circling enemies. They will still hit you from WAY too far away. (edited by Skreename on 06-06-06 06:56 PM) (edited by Skreename on 06-06-06 07:29 PM) |

| There's a slight difference between doing things like that for a reason and doing it "Because I'm not 18 yet so I'm going to have as much fun as I can before I am". That's just being reckless, ESPECIALLY when it's considered a way to solve boredom. | |||

| I've never played any of them, so I wouldn't be able to tell one way or the other. Me watching the video wouldn't fix that problem too well. | |||

| It isn't so much that it spawns stupidity as it is that the stupid people suddenly have a voice. And, with the stupid people talking loudly and/or congregating, people never see the other things that may exist. So... it's considered to be filled by idiots, while it's just a service a lot of people use. | |||

| I'm inclined to say that they'd look better if you DIDN'T leave the HP and barrier amounts on the sprites. | |||

| BassGS > Bass XX. That is all.
(I've beaten BN 2, 3 (Blue, I think) and 4 (Red Sun). I'm playing 5 (Team Protoman) now. Liberation Missions are a cool concept, but they're kinda bothersome.) |

| I don't have one, but I have a couple people's passwords, so I could probably have one if I felt like hijacking it.
(People trust me with passwords. I NEVER FORGET THEM.) |

And Gospel was an AWESOME boss. It's a shame Greiga (Gregar?) ripped it off so heavily. (I said it was an awesome boss. Not too hard a boss, but an awesome one. Gater was ridiculously overpowered, though. That was in the second one, right? Either way, I took Gospel down mainly with GtsShoot PAs.) |
