Be a bit careful with the area rugs (if they're small enough) and the cats. I know a couple of mine like to sharpen their claws on the rugs just enough to scrunch them up, then lie down on them... Or to basically dash off and have the rugs scrunch up underfoot. It's amusing, if a bit irritating.

Spackling... no fun. White curtains are rather nice, though.

That doesn't mean they can't have another one, though... A castle level with thwomps or a Ghost House with Boo would be interesting. Not too likely, but... interesting.

Actually, it looks like it's going to have enemies with actual hit points (hence the stars with 1 in them when characters stomp), which actually probably wouldn't be a very big change. It would be nice to not see it, though... kinda takes some of the mystery out of the game, and worries me to the presence of Sonic Heroes style level ups.

Black is almost invisible on Night, among (I'd guess) others, so... kinda risky to use. And I think local mods have like... off-white or something. Really hard to tell the difference, but I think it's there.

That blue, while very pretty, seems a bit too similar to the background in a few schemes. Obviously, neon green is the way to go. It also helps frighten away anyone with working eyes!

I think the main issue is that the color be bright and distinctive... Or, failing that, distinct from the other colors. Of course, absolutely nothing can be done for the 7 people who use the AE Torture scheme, the poor fools...

Danielle does have a nice shade of blue, but is it different enough from the regular one? Contrast is important.

EDIT: Because I keep wanting to say this and forgetting when I'm replying, I somehow keep reading the capitalized us as the US, making it seem to have a slightly different slant. Call it misguided nationalism, if you want.

I suppose, in the people's defense, most of the links that have "ban" in the title make it APPEAR that you're banned, not actually causing it to happen... Meaning, of course, that this was a bit of a departure from the norm. Of course, I think the whole "Do not click the link" warning would be a good reason to not click the link, but... that's just me.

Also, for some reason, the bugzapper didn't look very much like a bugzapper to me. But the mouseover made that part very clear to me.

I also know lots of people who would be more than willing to download ROMs for free rather than buying the real cartridge, so that's a hard thing to use as a counterpoint. At any rate, the whole legality thing would somewhat help out... Paying a few bucks to have a legal copy of whatever game to be played without having to buy/build a new controller for your computer.

You probably noticed how MetaKnight didn't use a normal shield-his cape wrapped around him and turned transparent. I think it may be possible that the characters will have customized shields.

As for that whole thing about the Event Giga Bowser being different from the real one... Umm... what? How is he different? Seems pretty similar to the playable (Action Replay WOO!) and final boss one...

I actually found Bowser to be a rather lame final boss. Should've depended on the character you used, or something... Like having Mario/Luigi/Peach face Bowser, Bowser facing the Mario Bros, Link/Zelda facing Ganondorf, etc.

I also find the number of characters with swords to not bode well for the continued presence of Marth/Roy.

If, while spinning, you can get hurt by fireballs, it should be the spiny suit. Otherwise, it should be the buzzy beetle suit. Sounds good to me, at least...

Still a rather cool powerup, either way.

I have to suggest that it would be amusing to have a Thwomp partner. Nothing quite like having a partner who can't/won't move from its spot.

Dry Bones would be rather cool. It even already has both a melee and projectile attack!

This somehow screams "WINDWAKER IS BORED", or as it would be written, "DEROB SI REKAWDNIW".

Sonicandtails: The Beatles are awesome. Kindly STFU.

"Two of the chords played were exactly the same"? That seems rather... flaky at best. Sorry, but sharing a chord progression (no matter how many times one particular artist may use it) does not make it the same. And that whole progression from Icecap doesn't look nearly as similar as it seems to... Wow. I see what my music theory teacher was talking about pop music using simple progressions. Gm-Cm7-Gm-Cm7?

A few of those things do seem kinda similar... but only in parts. And I seem to recall that the music was changed in the PC version to try to make it fit in MIDI soundfonts, which sadly enough did not include the "GO GO GO" from Launch Base, among other things.

Ehh... It's mildly interesting, but... I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. (Besides, Ice Cap has awesome music one way or the other.)

In other words, they have a somewhat different AI and offense/defense ratios.

I suppose it makes a bit of sense... But it could also have something to do with the difficulty level in Adventure mode compared to the lack of them in Event matches, meaning that the enemies won't have handicaps on them.

Actually, I think Nobuo mainly enjoys using Latin lyrics for his songs... He's done it several times before.

I think it only qualifies as a monopoly if it's one (or several working together) company who controls everything. If there are several competing, it's not a monopoly-- even if they still can get away with (potential, I don't know if it happens) massive price-gouging for the lack of an alternative source.

Basically, if there are 5 companies competing something, and 4 of them sell something for 5.00, the one selling it for 4.99 would still be undercutting the rest--even if the product shouldn't rightfully be sold for anything greater than 2.00. They'd still be gouging prices, but they'd also still be competing and thus not be a monopoly.

Just adding a bit of context for part of what Silvershield saw... "hooking up" is a very vague term. It's pretty hard to judge what it means, particularly if it's supposedly done repeatedly.

I'd like to see an actual translation for Super Bomberman 5. I can understand everything, but... it's still a bit annoying. (Yes, I know it's pretty similar to Super Bomberman 1-4, but... still nice to have.)
