Space Station: Silicon Valley for N64 was pretty good, if you could stand a LOT of bugs. Some of the later levels will have you tearing hair out though.

Yeah, that was a bit odd. I also recall some places in that game where people would stand in the air or inside a solid object.

Oh yes, and this one glitch where you could walk through a door. Nothing special, but funny to see.

You sure it does? Those extra connectors should be for the SuperFX... can't think of what sorts of effects in that game I know used it, but they might not work. (Two things that come to mind are Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy and the Raphael Raven battle, but the former could be done with HDMA (though SFX might handle actually acting like the ground was moving) and the latter could possibly be be a Mode 7 trick.)

I tend to just stick the midway entry point in some out-of-the-way enclosed area, and throw in a pipe that leads to somewhere near it on the ground via secondary entrance. But usually I can just tweak the level design a bit to accomodate for it.

Duh. Why didn't I think of that?

...Don't answer that. Anyway, yeah, go find some place with rotating sprites and see if they rotate properly.

....A bathtub?

Seriously, that almost makes me want to go rent the game and check that out. Too bad the horrible controls, camera work, and level design made it torture to play.

Read closer: it's .ips and Checksum:Fail. Anyway it sounds like you've used the wrong version; most likely one without a header. When you right-click the unpatched ROM and click Properties, make sure it says 524,800 bytes.

The people who invent them are funny. The people who try them are the people that destroyed all faith I ever had in humanity.

Some of them do have pieces of truth scattered about, though. For example one mentions jumping around the painting for level 4 until you hear Big Boo; this really does happen (because you get too close to the hallway and trigger him running away).

I also like to laugh at the grammar. "Jump into the lava. Burned butt mario, but he gain height, turn back and burn his butt again."

Who needs to confiscate? If DRM support becomes mandatory, your old non-compliant tuner simply won't work anymore.

Ailure: If only they had such a party here, I'd vote for them. Though I think they'd get more votes with a different name.

As I've said so many times before: As the size of the universe increases, the percent chance that it's devoid of all life besides that on Earth decreases proportionally. If the size is infinity, the chance is zero. More detailed explanation: The number of possible combinations of everything on a given planet, though unimaginably huge, is finite. Call that number X. That means the number of different combinations of everything in the universe is X * the number of planets that exist. If the universe is infinite, then there are infinite planets. X * infinity = infinity. Thus every possible combination of everything - everything that can possibly exist, and perhaps more - is out there somewhere.

It's difficult to comprehend, as infinity tends to be, but think what this means. Somewhere out there is a planet exactly like Earth (complete with people), except grass is orange. Another planet is also exactly like Earth but twice the size. Another is twice the size and has orange grass, and so on... And since there are infinite planets there are also infinite copies of them, even an infinite number of duplicate Earths.

Now, whether they're exactly the same basically depends how time works. There are two possibilities: One, on each duplicate, everything happens exactly the same. This means if you were to get in a rocket and fly to one of them, nobody would ever realize you'd arrived - on the duplicate planet you'd arrived on, your duplicate would have left for yet another duplicate. Everybody, including yourself, would think you'd simply come right back to the original Earth.
The other possibility is that just because two planets are initially identical doesn't mean the events that occurr on each are. Thus you may stumble across a planet which, when it was first created, was completely identical to Earth when it was created, but different things have happened since then. Maybe someone there cured Cancer. Maybe something killed most early life and there are no humans there. Who knows?

Of course this entire theory depends on the universe truly being infinite, and not just really really big.

^ And more levels.

Ports I'd like to see that are actually possible:
-Zelda OoT for DS
-Final Fantasy 1 through whatever for GBA/DS/Gamecube (They did a few already...)
-Paper Mario for DS (not necessarily a port, just some kind of PM game)
-Tetris Attack/Panel De Pon for GBA/DS (better yet, both in one )
-Super Mario Land 2 for GBA/DS, with some of the stupider 'features' removed (get a game over and you have to beat all the bosses again, what the fuck, and how about programming that doesn't suck this time)

Ports I'd like to see that are possible, but will never happen:
-Zelda OoT for DS, with all the 64DD stuff
-Super Mario RPG for DS (but longer!)
-Duke Nukem 64 for Gamecube (with way better graphics)
-Pokémon G/S for DS, in 3D (hell I'll probably end up at least trying to do this, but the DS will probably be way out of date by then)
-Super Mario 64 DS Take 2: This Time We Did It Right

Ports I'd like to see that would require some miracle (or an unofficial homebrew port )
-Diddy Kong Racing for DS
-Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie for DS
-RC Pro AM for Gamecube, in 3D
