I just picked up a GBA Media Player for $25, and a 128MB CF card. The GBAMP can load multiboot GBA apps such as PocketNES. (Not commercial ROMs but who cares.) Plus by hacking the firmware (ridiculously easy) it can load multiboot DS apps too. nesDS, whee! (snesDS doesn't work too well though. )

Ah, well that's different (radio interference != radiation). As long as you're not like right next door to an airport, police station, or hospital, I can't see it being much problem. (Most cases don't even have RF shielding. Hell, the monitors cause much more interference. Mine jams nearby radios. )

For that matter few people actually use 1.92 and 1.A2. They use 1.xx [insert owner's name here] Edition, featuring their own changes to the code that you would have to take into account.

Plus, it stains your teeth and makes you smell bad. I just don't see any positives in it, as there are plenty of other ways to relieve stress.

Pretty much exactly what I'd have said, except I don't know of any relatives who died from it. My mom also quit recently (for like the 5th time ) and started when she was young. Drives me nuts.

The Wikipedia article is interesting, but it seems to be more about people with defective eyes, who know they're seeing things different than other people. What I'm talking about is someone who sees just fine, but perceives it differently. That is if two people were to look at the same image, they'd see the same thing, but the images rendered in their brains would in fact be different. This is certainly unlikely, but it's an interesting thought.
(And for that matter, someone who didn't know they were colourblind could very well begin to mis-name colours, though they'd be corrected quickly by those with fully-functioning eyes.)

Isn't it the smell that attracts flies, though? No smell, no flies. It coincides well with the fact that flies hang around smelly garbage.

I doubt they use it all, though. If you have a lot of cows and few crops (I imagine a cow farm wouldn't have many crop fields), you probably have a lot of cow dung to spare. The real question is if the cost of shipping it from the farms and processing it would be worth the energy it produces.

Hm, no, I didn't notice that. Though it still looks very fake, and it says he was found hiding behind the star. That could mean it's supposed to be a patch that unlocks Luigi.

As for still being Mario's head, I figured you could write that off as "Nintendo just didn't bother changing it". There is no Luigi head scorebar icon, at least not near the Mario one.

Hey, I just realized something. The game has those extra 55 stars, which IIRC are unused Castle Secret Star entries. 55 stars is enough for 7 more levels and another 6 stars (maybe more hidden in the castle). If we could get it to use those for levels, we could potentially add 7 levels!

Two problems with this idea, though:
1) Nowhere to store the high score for coins. (I don't think there's any unused entries for them.)
2) The game uses a single byte to tell which star you've selected/grabbed. It has one entry for each star, and one for Castle Secret Stars, making 106 entries. Anything above 127 crashes the game (presumably a signed byte). We'd have to repoint the table of star names and fix the crashing (which could just be because it goes past the end of the table) to add stars.

Of course we could just add another 55 Castle Secret Stars. Have to be a big castle though.

Not if you did it right. You should be able to expand it to 32MB without any big problems, it's just a matter of getting it to use that space.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. It can just be like a really detailed map like you'd find on Google or something.

Only thing I suggest is replacing the pipes with holes in the ground or caves. Clever use of bushes the way SMW used trees in Forest of Illusion's map would also be a nice touch.

I'd personally prefer Sempron, but that's just me. Supposedly AMD chips are built better, so they'll be a bit faster with the same clock speed.

Also, Intel supports DRM.

Read the whole article. (It's 2 pages.)

As for the odor associated with dog doo, Brinton assures there is no need for nose plugs.

"The resulting gas does not have much smell," he said. "Sometimes there is a slight egg-like sour odor in the containerized process, but this can be easily filtered out."

IPS can handle up to 16MB and file size changes.

And yeah, you could add stars to the levels, but adding a lot of new levels would be cooler.
