They can use home, yes, but once they type a number the cursor will jump back to the end in an annoying fashion.

Also there's an API function that controls drag+drop, but I can't recall what.

Well do that when you get it fixed, so next time something happens, you'll be able to read it.

It might be worth checking the power supply. A dying PSU can do odd things. I had one that would cause the RAM to fail with certain HDDs (and others just didn't work). It became obvious when the power LED stopped coming on.

Yes, but it would make the super-accuracy it's meant for impossible. You can't really execute SNES instructions down to the individual cycles when you aren't even executing SNES instructions.

At 128kbps, maybe. But on SNES you can get away with much lower.

^ Me too. Gamesharks are some of the crappiest hardware ever made. (And for that matter, the software sucks too.) Only solution I've found is to keep trying and smacking it a lot. Just make sure you wait a second between turning the N64 off and on again, it won't boot (even without a GS) if you do it too fast.

<3 that. xD Sorry Hyperhacker.

Come to think of it the explanation's still in my bio. Just misread the shitty grammar. If he had just said the menu pops up when you enter another map, it would have made a world of difference.

And yeah, you had to abuse master ball duplication to catch things >L100. Unless you were crazy...

Also I always found it funny how it actually said ':L 21' or whatever number. Even in G/S they didn't notice the colon being on the wrong side.

This is true of any Compaq. The one I'm using at school right now takes about 10 seconds to execute 'rem' (which does absolutely nothing) in a batch file.

If you have the money, go with the laptop idea. Install some nice software like lololol/Opera/not IE, maybe Textpad, Lunar Magic, various anti-spyware and anti-virus programs, and use server-side Internet filtering (if you even need filtering, I think schools have to by law) that doesn't suck (like not 8e6 crap that's slow and only works with IE). Make an image of the HD (should all be the same, so one HD image should work for all of them) and write down the BIOS settings, and restore both at the end of the term when the system is returned to you. That way you can have an "Install/tweak whatever you want as long as you don't alter anything physically" policy.

If the universe is truly infinite, then logically, there must be infinite amounts of everything in it. Don't feel like typing out a big long explanation right now though.

I'd worry if we ever did discover alien life. How many movies depict aliens as hostile invaders, and how many as peaceful beings or minding their own business? You just know a lot of idiots will just assume that since they're not from Earth, they're evil and should be killed. Then we get to see what kind of weapons they have!

Something did. Likely one of the less well-coded editors *ahem*blocktool*ahem*. Or you did something wrong; applying incompatible patches, inserting blocks wrong, bad hex editing, etc... Or it just happened at random. (Happened to me once, I opened the ROM and all the message boxes were garbled. )

Yeah, a lot of schools use Deep Freeze to do that. It's pretty good; has options to install Windows updates while frozen (I think), make a non-frozen partition, and is pretty secure (runs as a driver, so you can't just kill the process, and prevents BIOS writes so you can't just wipe the boot password with some clever writes). Of course without a properly configured BIOS (boot from HD, password required to change) this is all fairly pointless as a boot disk can take it out in a few seconds. Also it can really slow down the system...

I actually see it on his second post in this thread, but not others. And I have layouts on auto-update, so it couldn't just be that his layout is broken in that post and not the rest.

Buy an NES and wire up the SNES controllers to it. (You do have controllers to go with that SNES?) Just a matter of connecting specific wires to the right spots.

Always, unless I don't actually touch anything. It's quite possible to take a leak using just the waist of your pants to aim.
