There's absolutely nothing wrong with using SMAS/YI graphics. Why do you think they're used so often? Because they rock, that's why. Of course it's nice to have others as well, but there's no reason to avoid them entirely.

I love these graphics, though.

-Awesome, but being able to jump up and slide down the slopes would kinda ruin the 3D effect and make it confusing.

Looks like a big cookie!

You could try designating specific ExGFX sets and Map16 pages to each member, that would avoid graphics and block conflicts at least.

As for ASM hacks, that would take a bit more work.

Good idea, but Map16 is very limited. ASM hacks would only be an issue if anyone actually does them, though.

Should only be a matter of adding a condition to a MySQL query somewhere.

I use tab+enter just fine. Space toggles the checkbox, Enter submits the post.

Maybe you should all just switch to lololol.

<script> should already be filtered. onxxx should be doable with some simple regular expressions. I think the way it was implemented before was to scan the entire output, replacing the scripts that should be there (like the delete post prompt) with some special escape codes, then replacing <(*)on.+= with <\1, and then finally replacing the escape codes with the old scripts.

Ah, yeah, sometimes I can crack my hip. It's loud and feels so nice. I don't quite understand why that feels good, but it does.

Well, the perfect school would be not a school at all but a machine that just kinda crams info into your head while you sleep. But I'll try to be a bit more realistic.

-Provide each student with a laptop, or if that's too expensive, some sort of mass storage device that can be used with the computers. If they don't return it in the same physical condition at the end of the semester, they buy it. Settings changed? Who cares, just wipe the HD and load an image onto it when it gets returned. (Cost could be cut here by not providing them to everyone, only those who request them. Some schools actually do this, but you have to be approved, which is pretty difficult.)

-Constant supervision, via cameras or some such. Everyone says bullying is a problem, but nobody ever does anything about it. Cut it off at the source by catching the little things that start it. Honestly, if you're doing stupid little things trying to start a fight, you should be considered the one who started it, regardless of who threw the first punch.

-TEACHERS WHO GIVE A DAMN. See above. Teachers today care about students about as much as they care about the crud under their fridge.

-An educational system that makes a bit more sense. Teach people how to speak their country's language and do basic math, and then let them choose what they want to learn. If they want to just drop out and do manual labour the rest of their life, that's their choice. If they change their mind they can come back later. Basically, stop deciding what we need to and don't need to know, because they're so often wrong. I don't need to know how to calculate the square root of the hypotenuse of a sine wave in my head. It'd be much more helpful for me to be learning Japanese in that time. But guess what?

-Wearing a hat is not a crime.

I don't remember it very well but I was just getting into ROM hacking (Pokémon ). I don't recall how but I came across this board when it was just opening, I think I even registered, but then it went down for quite a while. Meanwhile I learned about ROM hacking from other places, and then one day someone IMed me on AIM telling me that the board was back (and had been for some time), so I came back.

FIFTY cents? 10 I can understand (ink is expensive ). 20's pushing it... 50 is beyond ridiculous.

Also I like your 'Latin should be mandatory' idea, but it needs work. Find (or create ) a really simple but functional language that makes sense (I hear Esperanto is good) and make it mandatory worldwide. Global language ftw.

All that hack really does is make several still GIFs and join them together by calling a program. It won't work on Windows systems without some modifcations, and is indeed quite hackish.

I know it's possible to make animated GIFs, because I've seen sig images displaying game stats in them. Not sure how they did it though.

Yes, but always keep in mind that the system needs to work for people without javascript on. Maybe without all features, but at least the basics.

So when it jumps ahead, does synchronizing with the time server fix it? If not, it's probably a sync problem.

Another popular memory tester. Also, there could be corrupt files on the install CD or possibly hardware issues.

BTW, any time you get a BSOD, go to microsoft.com and search for the numbers, like "STOP 0x000000F4 0x00000003". Usually just the first will find what you need (might need to include the second) but write them all down so you can tell exactly what happened.

Oh, and if the letters randomly change on the BSOD, it's a memory problem.

I checked maybe once or twice a day, to see what kind of weird crap had been added to the page. I was off doing something else when it re-opened.
