I was considering "What would you do if you had the source code to every game ever made", but there were enough of these already.

As for what I'd do, though... I'd fix some of the bugs in Diddy Kong Racing and delete that annoying first-place sound (or at least make it not so FREAKING LOUD). Then proceed to make awesome "hacks" if you could call them that.

Yeah, SA2 was decent. Those jewel-hunting levels were frustrating and/or boring as hell though.

No, I would just hope that most parents teach their kids things like why not to wrap things around their neck. And we're forgetting that these kids were allowed to watch this video in the first place.

I like the idea and it doesn't actually seem that hard to do. The code blocks write the value 1, 2, 3 or 4 to a table of addresses, modifying the first zero byte in the table. The barrier block compares the bytes in the table to a second table within its code, and if they match, becomes passable. If not you'd want it to clear the table so the player could try again, and probably make a sound.

I'm pretty sure Solar Soundtrack will be out by the time I finish this hack.

Hah, that reminds me of the assignment "make a clock using the Timer control". My code looked something like this:

Private Sub Timer1_Count 'I haven't used VB in years so I don't remember how this part actually goes
Text1.Text = Time
End Sub

At times I've had Photoshop and Gaim do this every time they start up, but it never seemed to do anything. The number was different too.

Pokémon and the later Wario Land titles have more than just 32K. And the camera has 1 MBit.

Dunno about Wario but I just checked in VBA and Pokémon Gold, Silver and Crystal definitely use 32K. I remember hearing something about Crystal using 64K but it turned out to be false. They use the MBC3, which from all the documents I've read, tops out at 32K of SRAM even though it seems like it should be able to do 64K (which could just mean no game ever used that much with it).

All GBC games I know of except the camera and possibly a few other unusual cartridges used SRAM. The camera has a completely different memory map, and it'd be rather silly to emulate on a PSP anyway, except perhaps the new models with cameras in them. So, I can't imagine why they wouldn't save.

I linked "IE" (as in Internet Explorer) to "poop" once in the middle of some huge random talk page just to see how fast they'd fix it. About 20 minutes!

Who said it wasn't stupid? If I'd done something smart then they might not have reverted it, rendering the test results useless.

What was especially ironic was I was getting the same error pages the board used to get way back when, but then they changed to the message shown in my post.
