Mine does this too, and I think it may be intentional. It's very useful for cordless mice.

If you can't stand it you could always cut the power via the switch on the power supply itself.

Nope, those are done in Mode7. The rest of the game simply wouldn't work in Mode7.

What's with all the hard hacks anyway? Does nobody besides me tire of playing hacks that require a load of save states to beat? I mean yeah, SMW's bosses suck, but let's not go crazy.

...to the year 2006.

Anyway... 2006 was interesting, I did a lot of things I never thought I'd do, like move out to live with my dad, get a cell phone, get a job (which I wanted to do but started to think I never would which is why I moved in with my dad, who lives in the middle of a fucking insane job market, blah blah no one cares), etc.

Tonight doesn't even feel special though. My plans include taking a dump, coding, listening to some music (including Final Countdown at least once), coding (maybe a simple countdown app if I have time), and drinking some tequila shots I got for Christmas. The only thing unusual about any of this is that I'll be naked, simply because I don't care to put any clothes on right now. (Naked accounting is... actually no more or less fun than normal accounting.)

I want a Wii...

Well how much does Photoshop cost now? About as much as a decent used car?

Funny that they charge so much for a PDF creator when OpenOffice does it for free. Speaking of free, FoxIt is a nice PDF viewer that doesn't suck balls.

It's an option that can be set to "None", though.

There are two important points being made here, but not clearly enough.

1) 3 years of development time should have ensured a very small amount of bugs, and included a decent amount of testing time. No it is not OK if you get stuck and have to reset because of a bug! Test thoroughly! I bet I spelled that wrong. This game has some nasty bugs and cases of boring, repetitive level design that need to be fixed!

2) SUPER HARD AND FUN ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. Why don't people get this? A game that's really really hard is not fun, only frustrating. Seems every time I see a nice-looking new hack released or in progress, I think "hey, this looks nice" and then I see a comment like "oh BTW this game is fucking hard, if you haven't beat the original 4356 times blindfolded with the sound off then you have no chance of surviving this", usually from the author themselves. That pretty much ensures I won't play the hack, even if I did beat the original and enjoy it, because being frustrated is NOT FUN, and I play games for FUN.
