So I guess nobody's happy anymore. Well I just got this so I'm quite happy. Unfortunately it seems my CD player has some crud on the lens and the so-called cleaner only made it worse, but I have a computer that can do the job. Supposedly these discs have some sort of DRM that would prevent you from playing them on a PC using anything except their included software, but if that's true, it sure as hell fails because Windows only sees a plain old audio CD with nothing but music on it and Winamp is playing it fine. There's an included sheet about it (they certainly warn you well, unlike the web site) but it's all in Japanese. I might just scan it later.

You can add more attachments by pressing Preview Reply, then you'll see "Show [ 1] fields". Change that to the number of files you want to attach, then hit Preview Reply again and you'll have however many attachment boxes you needed. You can't add, edit or modify attachments in an existing post, though.

*Alice just realize he's been spelling "attachment" wrong recently

As for approval, you don't appear to be stupid, so no argument here.

So SMB1 doesn't accelerate you quickly enough when you're moving in one direction and press the opposite. That might be fixable with a one-byte tweak, or might require expanding the ROM to add some new code, it all depends how the physics work.

You should be able to safely delete anything that says "smwcentral.net" or "www.smwcentral.net". The contents of Temporary Internet Files are only cache and cookies. Cookies are files created by websites to hold information that they can look up next time you visit; this board puts your user ID and password in a cookie, so when you come back it can grab the info from there instead of you typing it again and automatically log you in. Everything else is just copies of files that were on the website, so it can run faster by using those copies instead of downloading them again. If you delete them it'll just download new ones.

Deleting everything isn't recommended since you'll lose all your cookies and cached files, which means you'll have to re-login to sites, lose website-specific settings, etc, and your connection will slow down for a while since it has to actually download every file from the site instead of using cached files. However, deleting everything from SMW Central means these effects will only occurr on SMW Central, which your parents probably won't mind.

You might want to discuss changing browsers with them to something like lololol or Opera, as IE is a steaming load.

I'm bored pretty much all the time, every day, even when I'm doing something entertaining, such as using the computer, playing a video game, or watching something on TV. The only times I'm not bored is when I'm at school, with friends, etc.

This has been happening since about September 2005. I feel that this time and age is the most boring ever; others might, but I'd rather be dead right now than to live and breathe for another moment. It may sound like I'm suicidal, but I'm not. I just can't stand being bored, and I don't know how to fix that at the moment.

On topic, I guess I haven't really been happy today. Anyone know how to fix that?

Random bouts of depression, sometimes to extreme levels? Happened to me a few times during puberty, just one of those weird things that happens.

BTW, here's the scans of that CD. Since the images total 882KB I'll just post links.

This is an attachment that was stuck to the spine of the case (left - it's a 3-disc set) and a slip of paper inside (right). You can see it warns of copy protection (at least these people warn you ) but all I can read of it is "this CD is copy-controlled". The Google translation of their website suggests that the disc is supposed to include some sort of program that would play the music instead of your normal player, but all I see when I open it is a few .cda files that play fine in Winamp. I had no trouble ripping the three discs using Exact Audio Copy, so if there is some form of copy protection it's the worst I've ever seen.
Indeed, there is a ring around the edge of the data side of the disc which would suggest a second session/partition with software on it, but even the Windows disk manager shows only an Audio CD session.

This is one of the discs itself. At first I thought maybe they just included this info as a scare tactic, or it was a disclaimer that the discs may be protected, but it clearly says "copy control CD" at the bottom of each disc.

Finally, this is the back of the case. It seems to have some sort of compatibility list at the bottom, but I can't tell just what it means.

So I can't help but wonder if their "protection" is broken, my computer is just ignoring it for whatever reason, or there really isn't any.

Well the only problems I could think of were you forgot to include the patch or it just plain didn't work, and the former seemed more likely to me. Go figure.

You might want to discuss that with a doctor. Too much will make you sick but a small drink shouldn't.

These results are quite inconsistent (some files visible but missing from MFT, others hidden from API), and why shortcuts like these would be faked or hidden is beyond me. Seems like either a very strange virus or some sort of disk corruption, possibly memory failure.

Explorer enforces some arbitrary restrictions, such as not allowing a filename to begin or end with a period, even though other programs can create such files and it'll have no problems working with them.

I wouldn't be surprised it's glitchy. Every game these guys have made, all the way back to Space Station: Silicon Valley on the N64 when they were called DMA, has been about as buggy as Windows 95.

Honestly I'm considering switching to Opera. FF is indeed getting a bit bloated for my tastes. But the extensions... I don't want to lose those.

Though I certainly don't think my layout is comparable to your average MS product in terms of bloat. I realize it's rather tall, so I added an option a while ago to close the bottom 2 boxes, which uses a cookie.
