"Rassweiler cited the PlayStation 3’s inclusion of a power supply that packs a whopping 400-watts—yet uses a very compact, low-profile design. At $37.50, this power supply costs about twice as much as an average unit found in a PC."
WTF? I'm guessing these people have never bought a power supply before.

Yeah, every Gamecube controller at the McDonalds in the town I used to live in was broken every time I went there, and the units themselves were starting to die. Though personally I did find the Gamecube controllers far too delicate and I hope Wii is better in this aspect.

Get out of here, fanboy. I may not particularly care for the PS3, but god damn it, if you paid good money for the PS3 and it fails on you then that most definitely does not serve you right.

LMAO, I read that as "falls on you".

Yes. Also I just remembered two more:
-I don't bite my nails out of boredom, but I cannot stand to trim them using anything other than my teeth. Nail clippers just feel so unnatural and I can't easily do it with scissors. When they get too long I clean out the crud under them, wash my hands, and just chew them right off. Of course with toenails, I remove them with my fingers, digging in until I can rip off the excess.
-Instead of greeting somebody, I tend to just look them in the eye, close my eyes and lower my head slightly. I started doing this to my cat since animals do it as a sign of respect, and I never stopped. When I do it to cats I also tend to make a short humming noise. For some reason if a cat is in the room I tend to do it every 5 minutes to 30 seconds.

Pac, you sound like you have Asperger's or something. I should know...

Only 37? I've had 45°C, and still had to sleep with a bed sheet.

45C? I don't see how that's possible, as I don't think it even gets that hot here mid-summer...

30-35°C outside + upstairs room with windows facing parallel to the river (meaning pretty much no wind gets in) + sunroom attatched to it (the walls in there can reach 55°C) + two big fucking CRT monitors, computer, and other electronics generating heat + big TV in the room below me generating more heat.

This Thanksgiving (Canada, woo) I wanted a traditional turkey dinner, but my mom decided to just take us to Harvey's instead. (Which is damn good, but not turkey.) We ended up getting invited to a friend's for turkey dinner afterward anyway.

Basically the only thing special I do on Thanksgiving is try to get turkey for dinner.

Sure have, boy.

Any chance you can send them and today's? I hope to work out a solution soon to log these but for now I'll have to rely on people sending me the logs.

Anyway what made me happy today was I brought my DS's AC adapter to work, so I could slack off on IRC pretty much the entire 8 hour shift. Since the IRC app has no way to turn off the backlight, and uses wifi, it kills the battery in like 3 hours. (I suspect it may be unnecessarily turning on the 3D processor too. ) That was good because I hate those damn morning shifts. Getting up at 7AM is not compatible with my system.

Yeah, DOS, not BIOS. Or whatever the name is for that text-only mode XP is in before it's actually loaded (where you get recovery options if startup failed).

Usually, but GCN controllers seemed to be an exception. My Wavebird died after being dropped. The analog sticks on my other controllers wore down so fast it's not funny. They'd decalibrate as soon as you touched them. Even my N64 controllers worked better (they were just really really loose).

Meanwhile, all my other Nintendo products still have only minor problems. The SNES and N64 have loose cartridge slots which is annoying but fixed by jamming paper in them. Gamecube's eject button sticks sometimes but just put something on top. GBA's buttons are a bit worn, not surprising given how much I used it. DS's L button is sometimes unresponsive, but it's been dropped many times. And of course NES is... NES.
