WTF? Why didn't I know this? Happy freaking birthday man. Hm, and it's also one year since I joined this instance of the board.

Yep, you can see it in Silver by calling 3F:52C9. Dunno about Gold. RAM address $CEED is zero to edit Pokémon or 1 to edit trainers. You can switch this address while using the debugger, but it's glitchy since it's not intended to work that way. It also seems to have some sort of move editor. Anyway you can't do anything with your modifications, so... :-/

This is both my 365th day on the latest board incarnation and my 4096th post (which would be notable if we were still using hex).

Post, not postb.

Ignoring the enormous bump, I should look up and take screenshots from those Card Captor Sakura eps in which a giant penguin slide thingie is flipped upside-down and post them here.

But I probably won't.

I just find it funny that companies spend millions on these measures and I defeat them by installing a firmware hack and a program or pressing buttons on the remote, taking a maximum of 5 minutes.

Anyway I guess when I plugged the CD-ROM's power back in I knocked the IDE cable out. Fixed that, started reinstalling. Getting a BSOD after the CD portion of the setup. Wheeeeeee. Also, my computer turned itself on while I was removing a PCI card.

Posted on 11-19-06 02:07 AM, in More PS3 fun... Sony falling WAY short on shipments for Friday's launch... try 200,000 max. Link
Yes, the PS3 is a sort of 'trojan horse' to get Blu-ray players into homes. The idea being if everyone already has a PS3 that plays Blu-ray movies, they'd buy those over HD-DVD which requires a separate player. Of course, this is assuming a number of things - the movies come out on BD, the next Xbox doesn't play HD-DVD (or doesn't come out for a while), BD players are expensive, the PS3s are a hell of a lot more durable than PS2s, etc.
If it works it'd be a big win for them, but it's quite a risk.

PlayStation 3 Loses as Much as $307 Per Unit Sold

Hah. So on top of your $600 game console they're going to try to force you to buy ~4 games and a load of junk accessories just to cover the cost of the console. I'll laugh when PS3 owners need to spend $42 on accessories to play a new game (or at least to complete it, as we've seen before *cough*Pokémon*cough*).

[edit] Fixing quote.

Tile Molestor, and you'll probably need an MIO0 [de]compressor. A hex editor will also be useful for changing pointers/texture info and recompressing since that compressor has a bug in it.

Only 37? I've had 45°C, and still had to sleep with a bed sheet.

I'm also extremely good at this -- my mom will come in, tell me to do something (or to get up, whatever), I'll sit up and confirm it (usually by going "uh-huh"), and then fall asleep again... but I won't remember anything! It's happened at least 4 times now, and each time it's usually something really important. (I even tried to work around it by telling her to make sure I got OUT OF BED, and she still just kind of went "are you awake?" and I responded yes, even though I wasn't... I slept in too late again)

Yep, that's me. I'd tell my mom to make sure I was actually awake, and she'd come in and wake me up, and I'd fall asleep again. Half an hour later I'd wake up and ask why the hell she didn't wake me up.

You don't need to spend anything to learn C/C++. Look into GCC/MinGW (GCC for Windows).

I doubt you'll get far. WinXP doesn't handle partitions well; it even stores critical system files on whatever the BIOS sets to be C:\, which may not even be the same disk as Windows is on.

Holy jesus on a stick, you are dumb.

What, I grab the card and pull it. The tower is in a vertical position. The laws of physics, and the fact that I'm not holding anything metal except the card itself, make it approximately impossible for anything to fall onto the motherboard during this brief period. It's actually safer in this scenario to leave it plugged in to give static a way out then to unplug it for two seconds.

Also, the BSODs stopped when I removed that crappy TV card. Which I still don't quite get because it works just fine in the other computer.
