Drive F:\ is named Files and holds random junk. For the most part it's very well organized, but of note are F:\Other Stuff, F:\Temp, F:\Documents\Random (looooot of old junk I should delete), and to a lesser extent F:\ itself. All messy as hell. I also don't really organize my images (F:\Images contains 868 files, and F:\Images\Funny contains another 769), and have two random junk folders on my website, one for stuff I link to here and one for stuff I link to elsewhere.

My pr0n folder, while fairly organized, has random filenames. Eg \672, \doa, \duck (nothing to do with ducks ), \egg (again, nothing to do with eggs), \f, 01.jpg, 1.png, 01.psd, 1.psd, 01b.jpg, blah 4.jpg, 0,,2004511290,00.jpg, etc. For the most part I just mash the numeric pad when choosing a filename for these, or keep the original filename, or if it's a series, choose a random word or random letters from the person's name and append sequential numbers to it.

Right, so a German person hacked this into the rarely-hacked Japanese ROM as soon as it came out, and is now trying to say that because of this there's no need for me to do it with the English version. Even if he did this for whatever reason, I can't seem to find it.

Tauwasser does, actually, have plenty to share with you if you're willing to listen.

I've asked him to share his information countless times in the past. His response was always something along the lines of "find it yourself".

The rom editing community is massive; many of us have been doing our thing years before coming to Acmlm. Tau comes from a German community, so it's unlikely that you've heard much about him.

I started hacking at Total Anime Forums in late 2002, and he was there most if not all of the time I was, replying to peoples' posts saying "oh I did that last week" and "why not find it yourself".

It doesn't matter if someone else may have done it, though. Learning to do things like this without being told how to do it is what makes something like this great.

Exactly. I've always said there should be at least two tools for any given job, in case one has some flaw, you don't like the way it works, or *cough* it's vaporware. I may not use that cruddy bank switch hack anymore, or that Super Mario Land hack that let you choose a starting time limit but broke world 2, but I sure as hell learned a lot from them.

You mean one of the first (probably the first) ASM hacks I ever made over 3 years ago? Even I laugh at that (and although I'm perfectly aware why it sucked, I notice you've never been able to explain why yourself). The point is it worked, it was a contribution to the hacking community, and it's more than I've seen from you.
