Ah, thanks. Found it.
BTW, don't forget about the castle courtyard. If you can spare them (or someone finds out how to add more) you could convert a few different levels into various outdoor places connected to different parts of the castle, or to eachother through pipes or whatever you want. It'd really be kinda neat to have an entire level with 7 stars outside the castle, if that's possible. |

Making stars or coins that count as extra would take a bit of ASM work. There's a Gameshark code to change how much money you get from coins, so that might not be too difficult... stars would be more work. Certainly possible though. As for levels, I imagine the most you can have is the amount there are now, but again, some fairly simple ASM hacking would probably get around that limit. (Move the pointer table and add pointers to the end.)

Sure, I'd vote him for #-1.

Realplayer browser? ...
I feel sorry for your computer. If both IE and lololol don't work and videos don't play, I'd say there's something wrong with your computer, and I imagine using a web browser from a company well-known for spyware has a lot to do with it. |

It sounds like it might be easier to just change the ASM pointer of some unused sprite, say #12 as you mentioned, to grab the real code location from some other table. Just as object #0 can actually be one of several objects from a second list; you'd be doing the same with sprites. You could perhaps use the sprite # itself (0 for the first instance of #12, 1 for the second, etc) as the table index, or the sprite position (leaving the sprite's code to set up the actual position in-game).
I still think Smallhacker's idea is best, though. Put a specific block and use the size or one of the block # bytes as the sprite #, and hack it to spawn a sprite at that position instead of drawing a block. |

Hacking/coding mostly, maybe looking for a job, and my dad will probably drag me somewhere I don't want to go for a few weeks. It sucks when all your friends live at least 60km away and you don't have a car.

Yes, you would use a breakpoint on writes to whatever RAM address the health is stored at.

Well I'm not sure how difficult it is to use the mouse, but it could be useful. For example in a game like Super Mario World you could use it to move Mario around the level.

Well, does it turn off at random while you're using it? If you're using XP do you have automatic reboot on crash enabled? Is there anything in the event log? Have you watched to see if anything unusual happens before it turns off?

There's major differences between NoPass and PassMe2, though I'm not sure which a SuperPass2 is. With PassMe2 you need a supported NDS game and a GBA cart with SRAM (as in not GBAMP), and every time you want to run homebrew you need to program the GBA cart's SRAM, then reboot the DS and start with the PassMe2 and NDS game inserted. With NoPass you just stick it in slot 1 and whatever GBA cart in slot 2, and away you go.

Originally posted by Danielle You mean with the "saving your settings, windows shutting down" text, or just right off immediately?
They're only in newer versions of Windows such as 2000 and XP. Automatic restart is in Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery Settings -> Automatically Restart. It's probably not the problem but you should disable it anyway. Event log is in Control Panel -> Adminstrative Tools -> Event Viewer. Just see if it reports anything around the time it shuts off or when you open Videora. These might change or not be there at all depending what version you have though. |
