My dreams:
1) Make NO SENSE!
2) Are always in the third person.
3) Often take place in a location that was in another dream but doesn't really exist, or one of a few places that do, occasionally even places I've never been to (but do exist).

I don't think I've ever seen an area in a dream which was laid out the same as a real place but looked different, but similar happens: Objects move and change at random; I teleport (just I'm suddenly somewhere else), I enter a room and the door I just came through leads to some completely different place than the room I entered from, etc. But since the logic parts of my brain are mostly shut off, I never really realize it doesn't make sense until I wake up. (If I do, I usually manage to take control over the dream... and wake up a minute later. )

Actually if you've ever played with the so-called Beta Quest code for Zelda OoT (which really just scrambles the exit tables and cutscenes), my dreams are a lot like that. Which may explain why I always have so much fun with beta stuff. Things are fairly normal, save for some oddities here and there, and then something totally weird and unexpected happens. Just imagine that you were playing through that, but not until you stopped playing did you realize that you had done things that defied logic and made no sense at all.

Seeing how you can store them on standard SD cards, yeah, it needs some sort of anti-duplication system. The only case I know of that nobody's managed to find any hole at all is the latest PSP firmware, and AFAIK it's pretty new (and it took them many revisions to patch all the holes).

The only difference this time is that the system will be online 24/7, so exploits will be patched pretty quick.

$250 does seem a bit pricey for a Nintendo console (weren't all the others $200?) but if I can download obscure Japanese games in the Virtual Console (translated or not), I suppose that'd be worth it. And if I can download Diddy Kong Racing...

I agree that they oughta have Game Boy games though, especially since the DS doesn't play them. (C'mon, face it, DS is the next Game Boy whether they want to say that or not. ) If nothing else, I bet they release Game Boy games on DS cards though. (Even better would be a Game Boy emulator and an adaptor to connect GB carts, but that's never going to happen. Nintendo does some cool stuff but there is a limit; things that are too cool, they won't do.)

The Gamecube may not have flopped but it certainly had poor third party support. 99% of the time I see an ad for a game I want it's available only on PS2, Xbox and sometimes PC.

SMB3 used scanlines because it didn't have another layer to use. Making SMW do the same would take some ASM, but not a whole lot; you could still use layer 3. The big problem is with layer 3 water, windows etc.

I finish my hacks, it just takes forever. I did have my first really stupid just-testing-LM-not-intended-for-public-release SMW hack released somewhere, it was under someone else's name but the hack itself has my name in it.

Also I saved over a really cool level too. It's important to remember that when you press Save in a hex editor it writes the entire ROM back from memory.
