I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this. Sorry if it isn't.

I was talking to a friend from Japanese class today about Super Mario Sunshine, expressing my annoyance on the fact that you could only access one course (Pianta Village) at night and another one course (Sirena Beach) at sunset. The annoying thing being, of course, that you can see the other courses in the distance and would just love to explore them at night/sunset. But, according to my friend, there is a hack of Super Mario Sunshine that has screwed with the ROM enough to make it night in other courses, too. (Since I know next to zilch about hacking, I'm forced to guess that, should such a hack exist, that the people responsible for it switched the night polygon around with all the day polygons and also edited the palette to make it seem darker.)

So, my question is, does anyone know of this hack or where I can find it? I really want to find out more about it, since I much prefer night (and sunset) graphics over those hackneyed day ones.
