well, that's what I've been trying to do all along , (view below)
That's just the problem: to give you an example: I pick room 232. I choose to remove everything in the roomheader ( this room has the biggest roomheader possible if I'm not mistaken), I try to save and it still says "not enough room for room header"... This is why an ASM hack is required, I believe *Edit Te images seem to be in backwards order, so start with the right one instead of the left (edited by Souledge on 10-30-06 04:06 AM) |

Originally posted by ibz10g I don't think that's any problem. It is the issue of the first contact. You can't know if you have something in common if you just meet them. Here's a hint: ask questions, keep firing and be interested. Ask questions about what brings her there in the first place. Then start asking her what she does, where she lives, her hobby's,... but keep the conversation light (small jokes, don't make it seem like it's forced). Whenever she asks a question about you, answer short, and switch back to asking questions about her. At this point, you don't matter. It's a known and proven fact, that when you ask questions and appear interested, you become an interesting person yourself for the other person. 2nd, don't go asking a number if you haven't felt the click, be sure the girl is enthousiastic and seems to be "into" you before you try something like that, or you probably won't get it. Another proven fact is: the first thing you say, ususally doesn't even matter, as long as it is not too ridiculous. The thing that keeps lingering in her mind is the conversation and how interesting you were ( thus, depending the question you ask). f.e.A girl once started a conversation about her shoes not fitting in her backpack, and it didn't even occur to me at that point how stupid such a thing is to say to a stranger. She just used it to initiate smalltalk... |

I was wondering if anyone has made any ASM hacks, for more room headers and more sprites, which I can insert in Hyrule Magic? That is why the folder "ASM hacks" is there, no? (edited by Souledge on 10-31-06 01:55 AM) |

I flipped through approximately a dozen rooms, ignoring the "no room" warning, but it keeps on saying it. When I use the arrow to switch rooms, click away the warning, and then go back using the arrows, all the doors and stairs are back like they were, without saving the entire rom.
I might have accidentally edited a dungeonroom with the custom version of HM (not sure if I did though). Perhaps this could have something to do with it? |

nope, not yet anyway
How's the work on that editor coming along? Is it anything like Hyrule Magic (user-friendly-interface)? |

So, is it possible to expand the rom with your editor, and then (if it isn't finished yet) return to Hyrule Magic to do normal editing, with the roomheaders and sprites expanded?

I see, so expanding the rom using Hyrule Magic itself is the only way to be able to still edit the game with HM. Any guide on how to do that?

I see. So, the only way to expand the rom, is through MathOnNapkins' editor or through ASM hacking. So there's no relatively easy way to expand the rom and still make it remain editable in Hyrule Magic?

Perhaps, but zelda3 hacking requires a lot more time, effort, a good storymaking mind and insight into logic dungeoncreation. It's for that reason there are so little hacks for the game IMO
*Edit On topic of the roomheader issue. Since there is no easy way to expand it, does this mean I'll have to start over? (see post: http://board.acmlm.org/thread.php?id=8887 for the roomheader issue I'm experiencing at the moment). Also, should I wait on your editor, MathOnNapkins, or should I restart with Hyrule Magic? In other words, can you predict the time it will take to finish it or is it still way to early to say, in which case I'll rebuild with HM? (edited by Souledge on 10-31-06 02:03 PM) |

Indeed, I did that occasionally, but how else can I save the roomheader? I have to click yes if I'm not mistaken.
And how would I reverse the effects? Is that even possible? |
