Well, technically speaking Castle of the Winds is freeware now last I checked.

I liked Mordor myself. And Moraff's World... I can't get that to work quite right on DOSBox. It was nice and fast on my 486...

I think you've been diagnosed with burnout.

You have two options; take a break from gaming for a little bit or check out some classic games instead via emulation or other methods. There has to be SOMETHING out there you'd like.

I wouldn't try rom hacking only because you usually do that when you love a game or want to do more with it. He's more in a "everything's boring" mood, in which case you have to go with the tried and true classics.

The first one was good when it was released because there weren't many 3D action games on the market back then. Hence it's good reception, especially on the PC.

It's pretty much do or die for Eidos with the next Tomb Raider game. Early previews seem to be promising but if they mess this one up, the franchise is toast.

Don't be.

Seriously. I mean, I'd do it but if you really want to Danielle, then great! Show some initiative!

Kwan wasn't the favorite in the first place, I don't think. Sports Illustrated picked Sasha Cohen (USA) for gold, Irina Slutskaya (Russia) for silver and Shizuka Arakawa (Japan) for bronze, so there are your favorites right there.

Hannah Teter was AWESOME in the half pipe. Just like White, she took her second run casually and just pulled off the tricks (and nice ones at that) she needed to clinch the medal. Our commentators called it her victory run.

And today was BRUTAL injury wise. We lost one of our skiers (Allison Forsyth) when she tore her ACL in her practice run, you had some crazy skiing/luge accidents (including the poor American girl getting herself concussed and sliding down the track unconscious and under her sled), and poor Dan Zhang nearly tore her groin (hell, she might have) when a figure skating spot went horribly wrong and she did the splits on the ice... yet she continued after an injury break and, along with her partner, still managed silver. Fantastic.

First off, I noticed this on VC&G first through Kotaku and gave DD a heads up on it. Then Hiryuu posted in the comments there so I'd like to take a small, thin shread of credit for noticing this, although if I hadn't Kas certainly would.

Once again, congratulations for getting into the mainstream blog-related gaming press, DD.

Nope. Technically speaking, my PSX is modded but it's an external mod chip that works very well, so I'm not voiding the warranty or anything. Aside from that, never really needed to... and the Gamecube isn't something that can be modded. :\

Translucent... you mean like the clear GB and clear N64's? Last I checked I don't think those were huge sellers or anything.

I have two tests on Wednesday back-to-back. One at 2:45 and then a nighttime one at 7:00. At least there's some study time in-between.

Guess that's the price you pay before break week.

SomerZ: One of our Canadian cross-country skiers broke her pole during the relay today, and a very nice Norwegian coach gave her a new one - and we ended up winning silver.

Sorry to all the Swedes by the way. Canada really didn't mean to run up the score against my university's (Concordia) goalie, Cecilia Andersson. The big news is that FINLAND is stunning the United States at the moment, 3-1... which, if that score holds, would mean a Canada-USA SEMI-FINAL as opposed to the usual final. And given how we're playing... might as well get the win over with.

Use common sense. Your family is seriously messed up if they're going to bitch at you for playing roms, and you're no better for being so paranoid about it. Grow up.
