All I know is that the series is huge, non-linear and extremely expansive... I mean, I *like* non-linear games, but when the world's as big as I've read it is... That's a bit of a scary proposition.

I think everyone has to get stitches sometime, whether it's an accident or part of a medical procedure (see: wisdom teeth). So yeah. It'll happen sooner or later, you can't avoid it.

Have you heard that in response to the cartoons, Muslims have organized a contest to see who can make the best political holocaust cartoon?

Didn't they cancel that contest the other day? I mean, there's really no need to do the eye-for-an-eye thing here, or even reward that mentality.

Giving this the sticky treatment because it's time...

Opening ceremonies Friday, coverage starts Saturday. I had already looked at it online, but the paper today had the CBC schedule for the games and it is a FINE schedule indeed, with a crapload of live coverage and a ton of hockey games to boot. TSN is also going to air some stuff, mainly all the curling draws.

...Meanwhile, you Americans are going to get - and I apologize for this, but it's true - crappy coverage. Especially if you only get NBC.

Not much. The games I mess around with usually don't have large patches, and I have DSL, so... :\

Now, if I had something like WoW, I'd probably watch TV or play my DS. I've heard stories about THOSE wait times...

I'm not a voice chat kind of guy so it's nice but nothing that makes me scream in glee or anything.

Um... gee. Pretty obvious answer over here.

If anything DID happen in the next little while, however, I would use a condom unless I had solid proof that the girl in question was currently on the pill. ...Hell, even then I'd play it safe. The fewer problems, the better.

More live coverage, basically - 12 hours or so live and another 5 hours of tape-delay footage a day. If you have a bunch of channels in the States you can get some more live stuff but if you only have NBC, the majority of your coverage is tape-delayed and during primetime.

You'd think that NBC would be able to do something better given the money they spent on the rights.

True, but if you're going to spend so much then make the most out of your investment.

Opening ceremonies were fun. Original way of lighting the torch to say the least. I can't believe how some of the small nations had a horrible proportion of athletes to officials... if you have 1 or 2 athletes, don't send 8 or 9 officials along as well.

Tomorrow: The first four medals are up for grabs. They'll be given out in Nordic Combined (Individual), Biathlon (Men's 20km), Freestyle Skiing (Ladies' Moguls) and Speed Skating (Men's 5000m). Figure Skating, Luge and Ski Jumping are also on the schedule, and the first round of group games in Women's Hockey.

It's easy to fit my schedule around bus times... I have two near me that can get me to the metro and they come every 25-30 minutes. So if I miss one of them, I can just wait for 5 minutes and grab the other one.

It's really not that much of an inconvenience for me... then again, it's my only way of getting places.

Could be a case where the... authorities... had to clean out the house and ended up giving a lot of stuff to Goodwill, in which case it's just creepy but perfectly legal.

Strange and eerie but likely NOT possessed or cursed. :\
