| Best I ever got with my 56k was around 4.5 to 5K/s. I happened to have a pretty good connection back then but there's no way you can get above that.
I thought it was great that NES roms were downloading in around 1-2 minutes. XD |

Then again, I usually have good luck on scratch tickets. I won twice ($5 and a free ticket, which ended my luck streak) on the new Tetris lottery.  |

I could see the speed starting high at the beginning of a download and then going down from there since what was displayed was the result of an inaccurate calculation.

I have downloads start at 1200K/s sometimes but they ALWAYS go down to what they're supposed to me. My connection was never that fast; that's what the program in question calculated it as.

This law will also never be enforced, I guarantee it. It's extremely vague and could probably be argued against successfully by a good lawyer in court.

Nintendo decided to pull out a little surprise announcement today... |
 I saw something about Tetris for the DS posted on Nintendo's E3 site last year but then it suddenly vanished... but all of a sudden we have a new game coming out in just two months without any advance warning. 
Anyways, Tetris DS is being made by Nintendo and... of course... it'll use the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Yes, that means ONLINE TETRIS with 2-4 players, complete with stat tracking and a rating system to let you know how you match up to others. Plus there's going to be six different game modes as well, *and* - as the icing on the cake - each of the modes have a classic Nintendo theme to them. One for SMB, one for Zelda, etc. Looks like three of the modes are Classic, Puzzle and Online. This was a very pleasant surprise to come home and see.

My guess is that Boo makes you unable to see what blocks are coming next, which WOULD actually be a good attack.

I think if they don't mess this up (Tetris Worlds by THQ -> BAD idea) it'll be fine. As long as online mode works as it should then it'll be worth the $30. (restricted) |

 I mean, it's almost definite it will but it's coming to North America in March and to Europe in May.
By the way, some sites have it down as being by THQ but that's not true. Nintendo themselves said it was being done in-house by one of their development teams. Dunno which one. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
